Impact Leaving Orlando

For a little bit at least.  It’s been confirmed that in February at least some shows will be taped in North Carolina.  I have no idea if this is going to be a regular occurrence or if it’s a one off thing but either way it’s a good idea.  They need to get away from the Impact Zone crowd for a change to see what works and what doesn’t.  Even for a week or two it’s a good thing for them.

Thoughts?

seriously though, how good of an idea is it to visit a city where the heels will be the faces? I live in Raleigh, NC and I plan on making the trip. I can tell you nobody is going to boo Ric Flair. The only way the Hardys get boo’ed is if Borash tells us to boo them when they go on the air, lol. Anyway, it’s a great idea to go on the road but I’m not so sure picking Flair Country is the best decision. Anytime first time watchers they get that night will be confused as hell when they watch Impact the next week in Orlando and see the same guys getting boo’ed.

I’d take it over Orlando at this point. Also a talented heel can easily get a crowd against him. At the house show I went to last week Chavo was getting a big face reaction and before the match he simply said “Thanks for the cheers, but I already know I’m good.” Couple that with some basic making fun of fans and he was booed for the rest of the match. It’s simple but effective.

I see your point. Flair is a talented heel, this is his home though. He can tell us to eat shit and we’d cheer and yell “Yay! Flair wants us to do something!” See what i’m saying? Hardys will be much easier to boo the more I think about it. I’m not sure how many people here don’t know that they are druggies. Pot is becoming more socially acceptable, but all that other stuff he got caught with probably didn’t please too many people. Maybe it’ll be okay, but if they are going Live.. which is my understanding.. the crowd reaction is going to be key.

Sure but that’s going to be expected. It’s not like fans don’t cheer for the Hardys and Flair already so why would it be bad to have them cheer in Carolina also? The ratings are already going up so I think things should be ok. This isn’t much to worry about I don’t think.

Fantastic news, nothing but upside. It had to happen eventually. Hopefully they get the right arena, a hot crowd and put on some decent matches for it too.

All they’ll really need to do is be decent out there. The crowd should be good as TNA can put on some entertaining shows. It’s definitely something worth trying.
