We’ve all been calling this for months now. I can not wait to see Shawn in that referee’s shirt..very very nice!
Now, how will Shawn use this? I can’t see him stopping Triple H winning to keep the streak intact – what possible plot point could that have? Shawn is adamant he isn’t going to be wrestling anymore, so that rules out another HHH/HBK match and feud. Likewise, his cheating to allow Truple H to win would be pointless and a horrible way for the streak to end.
Hopefully, this will just be like any other match with any ordinary referee (Aside from Shawn looking 100x better). But it’s still an added bonus, and a way to make a match we’ve seen before more interesting; not that in needs it, particularly.
I think HBK being the Ref is great quite frankly. Mainly because you don’t know what he may do. Will he screw HHH to keep the Streak in tact? Or will he try to screw Undertaker and try to end the Streak? Im fine with it and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out on April 1st.
I think it’s a bit of overkill. At this point, both World title matches are being left behind in the dust with such huge non-title matches being made and the Streak has basically become a pissing contest between Taker, HHH and HBK since 2009. The match will most likely be an awesome brawl, but at the end, there’s always gonna be that going around about it’s build-up. I hope that by next year, if Taker wrestles those tow are as far away as possible from the build up to whatever match Taker has if he has one.
