Wrestlemania 29 Preview: General/Overall

Since I’m out of matches to talk about.Overall this year’s show doesn’t have the spark to it that last year’s did.  it’s really just kind of there for the most part and that doesn’t make for the most interesting show in the world.  The matches will likely be good with the six man being a highlight and probably the tag titles being the weak point.  The show is going to do INSANE business given what they’ve got out there and with how hot the company is at house shows right now.  Wrestlemania is now the show for the common fan so a card like this works very well for that purpose.

The main problem here though is this feels like it’s just there to set up Mania 30 next year for the really big blowout.  That’s fine for people who are going (like me), but for fans going tomorrow it’s going to be a bit of a letdown.  That being said, it’s definitely going to be entertaining as every match would have to completely bomb for it not to work.  It’s going to be WAY better than #27, not as good as #26 or #28 and probably better than #25, which isn’t bad by comparison.

The show is going to be good but not great, and sometimes that’s as good as you’re going to be able to get.  I’m looking forward to it of course.  It’s Wrestlemania.  How can you not be fired up for it?

Never said it should, said that it is.

Not trying to be a smartass but how is this show a placeholder? Do you mean that they are saving bigger matches like Rock/Brock and Cena/Taker for 30 or do you mean that this show will be used to set up next year like 27 did for 28?

It will be better then 27 and that’s all that matters and since i have no expectations for any of the matches going in due to a lack of care for most of them they can’t really disappoint me like say HHH vs Orton or Cole vs Lawler did.
