It’s Wrestlemania Sunday

This is our day.  Today is the day that the entire wrestling year builds to.  In just over twelve hours, the entire wrestling words focuses on one show only.  To think that this was started nearly thirty years ago now is mind boggling, especially when you consider how small things started out.  Wrestlemania has gone from a glorified house show with Mr. T. in the main event to a show that averages over 70,000 people in recent years and a million people paying money to watch a pay per view.  It’s the biggest event of the year and I spend all year looking forward to it.

Anyone else excited?

So does anyone think Cena, Triple H, or Undertaker is going to lose?

If any of them do I shall start the paperwork for sainthood for McMahon.

This will be my first Wrestling Mania. It’s WWE so you know they’ll put on a great show. Doesn’t TNA try to do their own Wrestling Mania? The Sound of Glory or something?

I know it would never happen, but wouldn’t a Punk win turn him into a superheel? I feel like that’d be more valuable at this point yearround as opposed to Taker showing up to wrestle once.

Punk is too established already to really gain anything from beating the streak.

Well that’s certainly one of the dumbest things I’ve read in a while.

        • Rocko says:

What I meant by that is it may get him more heat for a bit but it wont last. It wont make him bigger than he already is. It will take away Takers mania draw (albeit he probably has only one mania left) and wont make Punk into a bigger draw.

          Again, complete idiocy.

Not that excited personally, but I’ll enjoy watching Wrestlemania tomorrow in the afternoon.

Incredibly. The card looks pretty good, and while I don’t feel the build up has been as good as last years (it hasn’t been bad though, by any means), it’s gonna be a good one. Taker and Punk is gonna be a sweet match, but I’m not sure if it’s gonna be as good as people think. Rock and Cena will blow the proverbial roof off the place, and Jericho/Fandango could be a pleasant surprise. And once again, I find myself looking forward to the Shield’s match. Lesnar/HHH…I could take it or leave it to be honest, but it should be at least a decent brawl (I’d prefer a Last Man Standing match in all honest, but I digress).

I live in the UK and have work tomorrow, but there is NO WAY I’m not watching it live, even if it means a midnight start.

Excited doesn’t cut it kb, it’s Thrash/J4L by the way.

I think that Punk & Taker have the potential to be amazing tonight, with Shield vs Big Irish Snake possibly being match of the night.

Jericho vs Fandango will be EVERYONE’s guilty pleasure.
