Darren Young Comes Out As Gay, First Openly Gay WWE Wrestler

That’s rather cool.  It takes a lot of guts to do this in a sport like wrestling.

By the way, do not post any homophobic/gay bashing comments on this.  I’ll delete them immediately.

    Gross!!!

    • Thomas Hall says:

      I’m going to enjoy this.

      Why is it gross?

      • Phalluster says:

Why is it gross? That’s like asking why the sky is blue. The body parts really don’t fit together, which is why the physical act itself is painful and messy, leading to frequent diseases and complications.

Now as far as the mental disorder goes… Darren Young seems to have been backed into the question, so there isn’t really anything he should have done differently. The responses, however, are gushing and misinformed, assigning false nobility to a very vague, fluid term. So it’s not one instance or one confessional that is gross, but rather the idea that all types of deviancy can be grouped together as normal behavior. While Darren Young might be rather well-adjusted and demure despite his wiring being off in some way, there are plenty of freaks and weirdos who are now emboldened and even encouraged by the spin.

Yes, it’s so much grosser than putting your penis inside something that bleeds for four days a month and doesn’t die.

Without getting into much detail, it fits perfectly well. Your opening paragraph just sounds like you had bad sex once.

As for the second paragraph, I’d like to know what your qualifications are with regards to mental disorders. Anyone who knows a damn about anything knows that no reputable medical agency in the US that considers homosexuality to be a mental disorder. It’s nothing other than a variation in sexuality. Any idea that homosexuality could be a mental disorder was abandoned in the early 70s when medical professionals realised that, guess what, gay people usually felt depressed etc. because society treated them like shit.

          In short, your an idiot.

The guy with phallus in their name is going to tell us that being gay is gross? Good try…

    • WAR says:

      2/10. Try harder sport

  2. Jay H says:

That takes alot of courage for him to do that and Im glad WWE is behind him 100% on it. Good for him.

  3. Conor says:

As a gay fan, it’s nice to see a wrestler feel able to come out.

Part of me thinks a sensitively handled storyline could be worked out of this but it would need to be done carefully. Probably best for WWE to continue with PTP as is and not make a huge deal of it on TV,

  4. WAR says:

Happy for the guy. He’s still an incredibly boring wrestler, but good for him.

  5. Killjoy says:

I just hope WWE doesn’t get the bright idea of turning him into a Rico-esque character.

    • M.R. says:

I don’t think even the WWE would be that dumb and insensitive. With the company’s prominient Anti-Bullying initiative I wouldn’t be surprised if this actually helped his career.

  6. M.R. says:

Good for him, hopefully he doesn’t have to deal with too much bullshit from the crowds.
