Thought of the Day: Inside CM Punk’s Bubble

So a common criticism at the moment is CM Punk is ignoring the current regime storyline and just focusing on Paul Heyman.  Why are people complaining about this?Punk talked for weeks about how much he hated Paul Heyman and wanted to take him out no matter what.  He said there was nothing that would stop him from running through everyone Heyman could throw at him until he got to Heyman himself and that’s exactly what he’s doing.

So why are people complaining?  Punk is doing EXACTLY what he said he was going to do, meaning he’s sticking to the story that was set up for him.  Why is this such a horrible thing?  Punk will finish up with Heyman soon and then he’ll go after HHH and the new regime.  That’s not a bad thing at all.

You forget that a lot of them had a match before that or were attacked. Also some of them were jobbers.

He went through that black hole in 2011. He clearly learned his lesson.

I see no problem with the Punk bubble. When the time comes, Punk will lead the charge when the time comes.

I love that Punk is doing his own thing, no need to bring him into the regime storyline.

People should be happy that Punk is in a better storyline than Bryan.

I’m more concerned with the regime storyline making little sense.

    • Craig says:

How is it not making sense?

      • M.R. says:

The fact that we still don’t know why Scott Armstrong made the fast count. The fact that the Shield were in a 11-on-3 handicap match. The fact that the only person who has looked great in this storyline is Triple H.

        • Craig says:

I am going with they have not explained the Armstrong stuff yet. They will eventually.

The Shield match was to try to quell the rebellion that was uprising.

        • M.R. says:

          Yeah. You’ve reassured nothing.

        • Craig says:

Or maybe you should not expect every single thing to be answered immediately. Let things play out first. While the story is not great, it does make sense so far.

        • M.R. says:

          Except that it doesn’t…

The Shield having to go 3-on-11 goes against not only storyline logic, but wrestling logic.

Wait people were complaining that punk was contained in his own storyline?
