Monday Night Raw – April 7, 2014: The Fun One

Monday Night Raw
Date: April 7, 2014
Location: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana
Commentators: Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, John Bradshaw Layfield

It’s the night after one of the best show in years and the big question is where do they go from here? For the first time ever, Undertaker is coming off a loss at Wrestlemania in what very well may be his last match. Other than that we’ve got a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion in the form of a goat man. Tonight is usually one of the most fun shows of the year. Let’s get to it.

I’ll be in the arena again tonight so use this thread to talk about all the awesome stuff that takes place.

I really hope WWE can keep the momentum going. There is so much potential with the current roster and it finally is starting to look like they are working out how to use them. Cesaro and Heynan is a dream combination. Who cares if he’s a face or a heel. The best characters are a mix of both.

Paige is the new Divas Champ?

    Why?

I was actually starting to like A.J.’s reign. She was doing well.

    Isn’t Paige a heel though?

It was a no contest. Basically setting up a Shield/Bryan vs. Authority angle

    • Heyo says:

Oh hell yeah. That’s an angle I can get behind. Even if it extends the Authority longer than it probably should, having the Shield stay face and closer to the main event is something I’m OK with.

      Well…again, I can’t see Raw at the moment, so I don’t know.

  4. Heyo says:

Sorry for the triple posting, but I can’t see Raw from here. I heard Bryan/Triple H was the main event here for the title.

Please tell me Bryan is still champion. I can’t take the idea of HHH as new champion.

  5. Heyo says:

…huh. Paige is our new Divas champion.

Talk about giving someone a huge push on her first main roster debut.

  6. Heyo says:

Looks like WWE.com is confirming Taker was sent to the hospital following Mania with a severe concussion.

  7. CrazyHorse says:

Been 2 hours and no Sting despite the rumors…I’ll believe it when I see it

  8. Reid says:

Did you guys really chant “Scooby Doo” when the movie commercial played?
