The Miz/Daniel Bryan Promo

Indeed it was awesome and indeed it did feel a little shootish.  Unfortunately I have no reason to believe it’s going to lead anywhere because this kind of thing has happened before and is never mentioned on TV.  If that happens it could be interesting, but I hope it doesn’t lead to Bryan getting back in the ring.  I just don’t need to see it again and risk even more injuries.

I’ve been singing Miz’s praises for years and hopefully this makes more people realize how awesome he is.

Renee Young played her part role brilliantly, her reaction made this look very real (and may have been too).

Part of me felt sad for Bryan, Miz literally told Bryan how it is and the reality sunk in deep for Bryan.

It was actually the first time that I genuinely thought Renne Young was annoying. You know it’s something good after that. Go Miz.

Everybody played that perfectly. Woo good promo.

The funniest part is Bryan talking down on the “WWE style” as an indy wrestler, while he’s literally breaking his neck infront of 100 people in high school gyms which ended up shortening his career by a decade. Quite the business acumen.

Like everything with Miz, it was just a bit too hokey. Isn’t that the point of this after show though? To make everything feel like a shoot?

A bit too hokey? How so?

I don’t see it leading to Daniel Bryan back in the Ring one more time but I can at least DB putting Miz in Matches for the IC Title and him winning. Then at Backlash plus if he’s ready have Samoa Joe debut and beat Miz in like 30 seconds for the Title.

When you aren’t sure where a work ends and a shoot starts, it’s a heel promo well done!

Best thing WWE could do with it: Show this in full length on SD and give Miz a chance to shine. Let him defend the belt week after week and only against the best they have. You’ll see: Within a few weeks, he’ll get the fans behind him. A tweener Miz who is still a cocky (and now also angry) bastard but also WINS without cheating.

The worst scenario this could lead to: Brie vs Maryse

Miz tapping into that passion he had in his promos during his 09-11 championship reigns.

What made you think this in any way means Bryan is coming back to the ring? This is a gigantic stretch.

I don’t think it will but that sounded a lot like setting something up. But no, I don’t think it’s happening, at least not for a long time.
