Considering there is still over a month of tv to be shown and that this stems from the Undisputed Era’s formal debut in Brooklynn, that it is indeed more than 5 weeks of tv build. Also Major Spoilers: Consider the Roderick Strong and Sanity feud from the spring, no love loss there either.
TBH I would have preferred a 5 on 5 with Lio Rush and Donovan Djack joining up with ROH invaders to face off against a patchwork team of NXT stalwarts like McIntyre, Strong, Ohno, Gargano, and Black. But this three team thing doesn’t lack a probable build in the least.
Its still not Wargames. Wargames is a 5 on 5 WAR between men who cannot settle it any other way. This 3 way tag feud has been going for how long? 5 weeks? If that.
That sounds exactly like the abomination that was the 1998 Wargames….3 teams of 3….thats not Wargames.
Poorly executed by WCW as the match was focused on Warrior/Hogan and not an actual ‘war’. I have faith in the NXT writers to get this right.
