Night of Champions Predictions
It’s Sunday and we have three major matches.
Here are my picks:
HHH vs. Punk
I guess I’ll go with Punk here, likely to set up a rematch inside HIAC which it’s WAY too early in the feud for but the calendar says that it’s time for a Cell match to take place.
Cena vs. Del Rio
I’m going to make this quick since it’s about 2am and thinking about this match puts me to sleep. Cena because it’s a shorter word to type. Has there been a world title match with a worse build in recent memory not in TNA? I can’t think of one.
Orton vs. Henry
Now THIS is an interesting one. My money is on Orton to set up one last match in the Cell with Christian which is almost built up properly as a HIAC match. I don’t have a ton of confidence in that pick though as Henry has been on a roll lately and I could easily see him taking the title. When the booking points one way (Orton wins) but it could go either way, you have a well set up match which I can’t believe I’m saying about a Henry match but it’s true.
Thoughts on these and/or any other matches?

John Cena by DQ,ADR Retains
Mark Henry wins the World Heavyweight Title
Triple H with help from Kevin Nash
Air Boom Retains the Tag Titles
Beth Phoenix wins the Divas Title
John Morrison wins the US Title
Cody Rhodes Retains the IC Title
Del Rio is going to retain because of a DQ or some shit like that. He only has the cross armbreaker (at least that i know of) and expect the end of the world the next day if Cena taps. So yeah Cena wins, but because of a DQ or count out. Something stupid as there is no build whatsoever
I have a strong feeling Triple H is going to win, which I don’t want to see at all. Granted I have always been a punk fan and never was a HHH fan. Dont hate the guy, just don’t care for his work.
I expect Orton to retain. Orton summed up Henry’s career perfectly, he will look good, but will fail at the end. I still believe Henry is just there to make Orton look good and because they flat out do not have any other credible heel to challenge for the title on smackdown. But hey it’s up to Henry to prove me wrong
Only match I care abut is Trips/Punk.
Del Rio’s probably going to win and Orton retains.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but the only match I actually want to see and care about on the card is Orton vs Henry. Orton is Orton and can win on any given night but Henry has just been on such a dominate roll lately its hard to tell who is going to win as it really could go either way. Other then that man has the WWE tried their best to make the two main Raw feuds so uninteresting its unbelievable…..
