As confirmed by WWE.comAlberto Del Rio beat Big Show in a last man standing match to win the World Heavyweight Title. I’m very surprised by this and the field is now open for guesses on what it means for the Rumble and Mania, but I can’t imagine Del Rio holding the title until then. Also for you trivia people, this is the first time the title has changed hands on Smackdown since 2011.
Its surprising that Alberto can’t make a man with a broken arm tap out as a heel, yet can beat a giant in a Last Man Standing match as a face.
Otherwise, this is an interesting way to shake things up in the title picture. Unlike the WWE title , the WHC has a lot more contenders and is unpredictable.
Interesting move but WWE is really pulling out all the stops on both Shows and I like it. Should be interesting to see how long ADR holds it. Smackdown is going to be a fun watch on Friday.

Smackdown is must watch this week for me. I don’t know the last time I watched a TAPED smackdown. It could be 2 or 3 years.
