I’m 85% positive, after only having looked at it once, that the guy standing next to The Rock at the very end of the show was Finlay.

Everything about Punk still spews mediocrity

Agree with a previous commenter, I really thought you were gonna rip this show apart. For a normal RAW it would have been just Ok, but for a ‘special’ it was pretty bad.

I was actually embarrassed for Miz and Flair during that segment.

I love Cena winning just because I know how much it pisses people off. Disagree about the near falls being ‘awesome’ I knew Cena was kicking out everytime. Taker/HBK’s mania matches have ruined near falls for me.

Rock came off as a prick to me. Making fun of a middle aged man and woman based on looks(not saying it wasn’t funny) I really want Punk to beat him now.

Didn’t realize no Taker/HBK/Austin til I came here. In Texas, I’m surprised at least one of them didn’t show up.

    WHAT A SHOW!

Oh I’m not done, hit send to quickly….Cena/Ziggler has to be considered match of the decade….DECADE! Rock was awesome as usual and MizTV was fantastic. I was dying laughing. Miz wasn’t lame at all.

      Best diva’s match in years.

I agree with everything(positive) you said about RAW KB.

      SUCK IT TNA!

Someone anyone tell me why Ziggler had to lose again? Was there any reason for Cena to win?

  6. Remy says:

The location is actually the Toyota Center.

KB as much as I wanted to see at least Austin,Taker, and Shawn show up im with you I was ok with it. Of course all the little Attitude Era only/IWC Marks on Facebook are whining about that. Solid Show,Cena/Ziggler in the Cage was good,Orton/Barrett was pretty good, liked the brawl with The Shield & Company. Rock Concert was pretty funny and a nice closing brawl with CM Punk. I do like Katilyn finally getting the Divas Title as well.

Now lets see my alter ego come on here and make fun of me (which hasn’t gotten old at all).

While I do agree with you that the show was good, in the defence of those wanting some classic raw legends, Any other show this would have been a fnatastic raw. But it was the 20th anniversary, they couldn’t have got 1 wrestler from the original Raw? Considering Shawn and Taker both live in Texas and were on the first Raw would it really have been a stretch to have either or?

      • Thomas Hall says:

Austin is still recovering from his knee, Taker is being held off for Mania season, and Shawn was talked about to the point where it was a running joke.

Last night wasn’t about the past. It was about the present and future. That was said numerous times.

  8. Punk charging down the ring and holding his own against Rock was a nice touch. Usually the champ/heel would shy away from these sort of battles, much like Show earlier tonight. Punk doing his thing makes it so much more legit.

I hope to God Punk is not loosing to Rock on RR.

My bet – Brock returns at Rumble and costs Rock the match. Rock vs Brock – WM made!

Cena wins RR – and challenges CM – WM made!

KB, I understand why you didn’t like the whole Barrett winning a non-title match, but I have a question for you.

If they said it was a title match, what would your reaction be? I know mine and most of the other people would say “well how is Randy Orton losing this match?” By having it non-title, the win was shocking, which I liked better.

Oh, and the whole Rock Concert thing sucked. Not as much as Rock Concert 3, but it wasn’t good.

    • Thomas Hall says:

That it makes the title look more important to have someone big like Orton go for it and that the win means more for Barrett. Also I would think “well they’re not going to put the title on Orton, but they’re also not likely to have Barrett beat him. How are they going to do this?”

  10. Mouldylocks says:

Gotta say KB, I really thought you’d come down hard on this show, after all you said about Stone Cold not always overcoming the odds, and than Cena winning tonight…I thought you’d be as fired up as I was.

This didn’t feel like a 20th anniversary at all… No Micheals, Taker or Austin, Just The Rock, Flair and Foley…. Maybe they spent themselves with the 1000th Raw.

Either way Always enjoy your reviews

    • Thomas Hall says:

Eh with Cena that’s more his character. I can live with that at this point.

As for the lack of guest stars, I kind of like it better this way. I’m glad they didn’t have like two and leave it at that. Going this way was fine.

      Thanks for reading.

  11. Jam says:

Awesome ending. God, why didn’t they do this with Rock/Cena?
