He’s a heel apparently and wants to be in the Chamber. I can’t say I’m complaining and it’s yet another guy in the Smackdown title picture. I’m a happy KB over this.
I threw this out there in the RAW review thread, but I will ask it here.
Ryback/Mark Henry feud, yea or nay? I think it’s a good feud for both. Henry could be the first individual to stop the Beast, and Ryback will ultimately win the feud, thus going over a Worlds Champion.
You’re right about Henry “winning” a feud, but even just splitting could work.
I don’t mind Ryback on the mic actually. I mean he’s no CM Punk, Cena, or Dwayne, but he isn’t supposed to be. He’s gonna say the catchphrases that are over like rover and be all aggressive sounding, which fits his character to a T. Besides, it’s not like they are gonna need a feud in which they are consistently on the mic. Put them in tag matches with other feuds or have cross-feud matches, or even have strength vs. strength contests, like jobber-tossing or how many people can you lift up at the same time.
Plus, I think it would be an excellent Mania Match. Henry was on the roll of his life before he left, and Ryback has been good. Maybe have Henry win clean after Ryback fails to Stack up Henry at The Chamber (first clean win over Ryback), then Ryback get revenge at Mania, stacking him up and marching around the ring for Shell Shock. Boom, Wrestlemania Moment right there, and use that to jump Ryback to the World Heavyweight Championship, and Henry can then go on to go after Cena after he wins at Mania and defends at Extreme Rules.
M.R., For any other wrestler you’re right. But it is not even close to the same thing with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. 10 years ago I would be a mark, but not anymore.
When he first came back, he came back as “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson”. His first T-Shirt they sold said as much.
In his movies, he is known as Dwayne Johnson. Not “The Rock” or “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson”
Oh, and if I recall correctly, everyone he feuded with since he came back has actually called him Dwayne, and did so mockingly. So yeah I could care less. He’s Dwayne Johnson, a former full-time wrestler who was known as “The Rock” who has gone on to a hugely successful movie career.
I mean do you go on a Top Gun Forum and refer to Tom Cruise as Maverick? No, you call him Tom Cruise, because that’s how he is known to the general public as.
So Sexual Chocolate is good now? Last I saw of him he was having sex with Val Venis’s gran. Through a table. Or something…

I’m not sure how well the promos would go but I could buy this. I’d like to see Henry win a feud first though.

A wrestling fan referring to the Rock as Dwayne makes you sound like a complete and utter mark.
