What I remember most about this show is how wwf tried hard to fool the fans. If u watched the actual Royal Rumble ppv ending and listen to highlights of the same ending again on this show u can hear how different the commentary of Heenan and Monsoons Where. In the actual ppv version Monsoon didn’t go off about how Sid threw Hulk over from behind instead of face to face and there where no Hogan chants by the fans on the contrary they cheered Sid eliminating Hogan while on this shows highlight version of it the comments where different as Monsoon was ranting about how Sid threw Hulk out from behind and suddenly u hear Hogan chants. Wwf really thought the fans where too stupid not to remember the original commentary.

1992 is one of the Best Years in WWF/E History. The build to WM 8 is one of the best ones as well. Hogan/Sid were at each other’s throats and Flair & Macho Man were about to Feud. Piper holding the IC Title was so cool and would have a great Match with Bret Hart at Mania. Also had Undertaker about to turn Face and Feud with Jake Roberts.

Yeah this was epic. I remember that press conference, when everyone (well anyone I knew) still thought Jack Tunney was the actual President of the WWF. When Sid Justice stood up in anticipation of his name being called and it was Hulk…he was pissed. There was nice ‘Macho D’oh’ too. Taker just sat there.

This was like the Mega-Powers explode Main Event, it was added to the regular Superstars UK schedule cos it was so dam big. The match was weird cos Taker and Flair were supposed to be the heels but the faces are the ones acting like Dicks. Hogan’s elimination of Sid at the Rumble WAS a cheapshot and now you’re left with a situation where you’ve made your 2 biggest faces look like douchebags. Enter the Hitman….

Great episode of Saturday Nights Main Event. I think the Sid turn was well done and I can’t wait to see where it goes. Maybe Beefcake will come back soon too. Piper/Mountie was predictable but I think this might set up a face vs face match with Bret soon. All in all a good show and I’m looking forward to Superstars of Wrestling this Saturday…oh wait this show didn’t just happen? My bad
