I’m not for one second denying that people want to see him, People also boo the Shield but they still undoubtedly want to see them. I believe it’s called being a heel or something. If I went to see Andre the Giant wrestle Hulk Hogoan, you can bet that I’d boo Andre till my lungs bled. However I’d still be gutted if he didn’t show up. I think that’s the mistake Cenas fans make when people bring up the crowd booing him – we’re not trying to say that he’s weak or unpopular or a giant douchebag, merely saying that there is a large portion of WWE fans who feel his charachter has gotten very stale and are absolutely dying to see what Cena would be like as a heel (my guess is he’d do just fine)

As a heel, nothing would change. The people that boo him now, would cheer him. The children the cheer him now, would boo him. It would still be a mixed reaction. It’s also still a PG product, so it’s not like he would be that ‘edgy’ anyway. He would come out and insult the town they’re in, make the same poopy jokes and that’s it.

Why turn him now when he’s still drawing? Why appease the fans who stream the ppvs as opposed to buying them?

Notice when Punk and Cena were doing the slugfest, Punk’s punches got cheered and Cenas booed. Also interesting to note the difference in pitch between the boos and cheers! Seriously though, could have watched that for hours. Just 2 great performers owning the moment

    • Rocko says:

The cheer/Boo stuff for Cena isn’t new at all. Despite people booing him, they still want to see him (at a recent event I went to people booed Cena when he was on screen but were then disappointed by him not being there).

Match ending was rehearsed in a house show two nights ago in Istanbul. So i saw it before all of you guys. Hehe.

Best Raw match since Bryan-Punk. Kudos.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was THE best wrestling match I have ever seen! TAKE THAT DNA DEEP IMPACT! RAW can do no wrong these days. This is the best RAW has ever been in all my years watching…duh I mean, well I’ve of course only been watching for a couple of days…..

To answer your question KB on what RAW stands for: REALLY AWESOME WRESTLING!

    1. Can’t argue with that one

    2. Still don’t know what an opinion is I see.

    3. Replying to you shows that I’m taking it so seriously? I just like to counterpoint.

As for the Lesnar talk. I don’t even understand the logic behind this match. Triple H lost at summerslam clean, six months ago. He also got booed for trying to milk a sympathetic reaction afterwards. Why do they think that he’s going to be a conquering babyface in New york, a noted smark town.

On top of that, just why? What does Triple h need with a win over Brock Lesnar at this stage of his career? It would make a lot more sense for Brock to win again to further cement his status as a monster. As for who else he could face well Rock, Cena, undertaker, even d-bry, or punk would all be good matches and would be built up well.

It isn’t that you replied to him, it’s that you took his comment so seriously. How are you incapable of seeing that? Idiot.

  6. Jay H. says:

Awesome Main Event and I agree for anyone who wants to say WWE doesn’t put on good Matches anymore, watch that one. Cena breaking out a Sit-down Powerbomb and Hurricanrana proves he does know more than his usual stuff. Loved the brawl between HHH & Brock Lesnar. Oh we got blood too, thats when its needed.

Can’t wait for Old School RAW next week.

  7. for the record – absolutely incredible match.

  8. chris says:

The main event was fantastic. One of the best matches I’ve ever seen in my humble opinion. Still have no desire to see super cena triumph at wrestlemanina, but what can you do? The Wrestlemania of rematches is taking shape. Also no undertaker sighting which is disappointing.

“Absolutely amazing and to people who say “well it wasn’t THAT good”, you’re wrong. Period.”

I still don’t get why you throw in statements like this. I mean it’s almost like someone isn’t allowed to dislike this match. As I stated above it was amazing. However if someone didn’t like it, what’s wrong with that?

    • Thomas Hall says:

      1. Because I can.

      2. Because they are wrong.

      3. Why in the world do you take this stuff so seriously?

      • I second this opinion – I am a HUGE Punk mark, and it gutted me to see him lose. But this was a match like no other, and I really didn’t care for the ending because it made Punk look strong despite the finish.

This also sets up an exciting what-next for Punk. Does he duel with Undertaker (dare I say, end the streak?) or does he sneak himself into the Rock vs Cena (once in a lifetime, again).

As for the main event, Rock vs Cena II – I hope that WWE can fill some doubt over who will come out tops in that match, because right now it seems an extremely transparent match….

  9. Evan says:

What a waste of potential in Brock Lesnar.

    • there is nothing else that Brock would be fitted into – making him fight Undertaker would be as bleh as HHH vs Lesner, and besides no way can Undertaker partake in a match against a bit-part athlete at this age, he would most likely be killed by Lesner in that war game.

HHH and Lesner was setup real nice today…
