Rock Allegedly Walks Out On WWE

Word on the street is that Rock was scheduled to be at Raw tonight and talk about losing the title, only to be laid out by Lesnar, setting up a showdown at Mania XXX.  Well allegedly, and I emphasize that word, Rock said screw that and went home.  Again, no word on if this is official, but we’ll know in like six hours.  Until then, better go pay to read EXCLUSIVE BACKSTAGE INFO which will NEVER be published for free on another site,  right?  Did I mention I find that method of news reporting stupid?

Anyway, assuming this is true:

1. It’s Cena’s fault right?  Everything else is.  We better turn him heel and then complain about how lousy his heel turn was executed.

2. If Rock wants to leave, I have no issues with it, much like I have few with Austin bailing in 2002.  He doesn’t owe WWE or the fans a thing.

3. It’s not like he lit the world on fire last night so why not let him go?  It doesn’t really add much anymore.

Thoughts on this?

You have really got to get that sand out of your vagina dude.

If you’d prefer me to agree with the nonsense you post on a daily basis in place of my opinion, I’m sorry to inform you that ain’t happening.

    how about a spoiler warning?

This is surprising but it makes sense with what happened after Rock/Cena. It was odd for Cena to leave the ring to Rock considering he had just won the WWE title and it was his moment. Rock acted like he had just wrestled his last match. If this is it for Rock, it wasn’t a great match to go out on but I don’t blame him if he’s done for good.

They were pushing G.I. Joe. I’m sure once it was time for Pain & Gain (which I’ve never heard of) to be released, they would’ve plugged the hell out of that too.

    • M.R. says:

The point being that if it were all about plugging his movies, Rock would continue to work with the company. But you seem like the type that has points go over your head quite frequently.

      • Thriller says:

Awww, aren’t you cute with your insults?

What this boils down to is ego. Vince probably made Rock a huge offer to come back, with the added benefit of plugging the movies. Since G.I. Joe just did really well in the box office and Rock probably isn’t 100% with losing to Cena, he thinks he’s too good for WWE and leaves.

        • M.R. says:

Yes I am, no need to inform me.

And of course he got a big offer, just as any star would, and a couple mentions of his movies are an obvious incentive. But the fact is one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood returned to his roots when he’s clearly not in the need of cash, or publicity for that matter. So to say he’s strictly back to promote his movies is simply misguided.

  5. Thriller says:

If it’s true, this doesn’t really help to make me think that he didn’t come back only to promote his movies.

    • M.R. says:

You’re right. I hated how he kept bringing them up during his promos. GI Joe never would have been number 1 at the box office had it not been for the 3 million people that watch Raw.

      • Thriller says:

He didn’t bring them up, but they were brought up at least twice by Cole and Lawler every episode of Raw.

        • M.R. says:

Not to poke holes in your theory, though it’s awfully easy, but what about his upcoming film Pain & Gain? Or the 5 other movies he’s guarenteed to star in this year?

  6. M.R. says:

Do the reports state why…? It’s dirtsheet reporting so I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t.
