Thought of the Day: Shield’s Push
I’ve been thinking about this lately and their initial push is the strongest I’ve seen since…..The NWO. Think about it. Who else has debuted, been this dominant, and risen to being one of the biggest deals in the company in just six months? They’ve been a big deal the entire time too, debuting in a major PPV main event, then running over everyone. Tonight one of their members is facing Undertaker on Smackdown. This is reaching legendary levels and it’s amazing to watch.
I think they should eventually get the WWE Championship from Cena this summer. Like a 3 on 1 handicap match for it. Never have them lose, but have them implode from the inside out of jealousy for the title and have a triple threat with one of them turning face.
That sounds terrible.
It’s been very well done. But the real interest for me is seeing how they will transition into singles roles.
And yet, the push feels absolutely generic.
Brock Lesnar? didn’t he got the WWE champsionship 6 months after his debut and defeating quite the big stars in the process?
Nah for three months he was feuding with the Hardys. Shield was in the main event literally from day one.
