Why do so many people think this match isn’t happening? You need seven people for the match right? Here are some options:Rhodes

There are a TON of people you could throw in there. Why do so many people think it’s not happening?
The participants have been/will be announced on Smackdown. You almost had it, KB.
Is Rey available? Also, is Kofi? Santino?
I also wonder if it might be fun to have Brad Maddox “win” a MITB spot.
I would play up the fact that if everyone in the WWE championship briefcase match is a former world champion, none of the participants in the MITB are (this knocks out Rey and Miz if they’re competing, I guess), so it’s a match of “who’s hungriest.” It could be intentionally light on storylines going in (although I think a lot of the charm would be guys fighting to GET the spot).
Who cares? A couple of years ago Smackdowns mitb ladder match didn’t feature any really big names and it was much better than raws mitb match. Give me Rollins, Reigns, Ambrose, Gabriel, Sandow, Cesaro, Langston.
That list screams mid-card.
That’s because it’s a glorified midcard title.
That’s what I’m saying.
Some people still like to believe it’s still a main event title.
