Ultimate Warrior Dead At 54, Confirmed By WWE, Natural Causes Seem Likely

That’s what HHH says on Twitter.  It’s the verified account as well.  What in the freaking world?

Take this with a HUGE grain of salt as it could be some storyline etc.

Edit: WWE has confirmed the story.  No cause of death has been released yet.

Editx2: TMZ has posted a story saying Warrior collapsed outside his hotel and was taken to the hospital where he passed away.  That would heavily imply it wasn’t self inflicted.

I was stunned when i heard about this today. No matter what anyone says about if he was a good Wrestler or not he was one of my early favorites when I first got into watching. I loved his intensity, his promos while weird are classics, and he did some have memorable Matches & Feuds.

I think one thing we can take away is that he made amends with the WWE and buried the years of bad blood both sides had with each other.

RIP Ultimate Warrior-You took us to places we never have been.

Sad to hear. I was never much a fan of the worker or the man, but he’s carved out an undeniable legacy.

This is a tough one to take. It feels like a part of my youth just died. My heart goes out to the family.

So are you going to be like some other guys, suddenly go around redoing reviews of things like Halloween Havoc ’98 and say he wasn’t really that bad? Or the ones who moan about the “Self Destruction” DVD being a terrible hatchet job because it basically said all the stuff guys like Wrestlecrap have been saying for years?

Look, I loved the guy in his prime, great worker and all but a bit perturbed people are suddenly acting like they haven’t been mocking him for years.

Well Self Destruction was a hatchet job. They lost me when they complained about him wearing a hat. I mean…..it’s a hat.

No to the other part. The Havoc match sucked no matter if he’s dead or alive. I didn’t change my Benoit matches so I won’t change this. Warrior was good when he had the chance.

He’ll definitely be Wrestler of the Day for tomorrow though.

After seeing him pour his soul out and have his wife, kids and mother crying for him on-stage, this is a very hard pill to swallow no matter how people perceived his work ethic.

From his promo in Raw it seens like he knew. He didn’t look well but I thought it was just down to the emotion of finally getting a chance to come back.

Wow, when I read the headline a few minutes ago on wrestlezone I knew it had to be a mistake. I can’t believe it. Warrior was the first wrestler that I really got behind as a kid and seeing him at the HOF, WM, and Raw last night were tremendous moments. I’m so glad Warrior got to bury the hatchet with everyone and be welcomed back to WWE and get to see the fans again but man this is strange timing. Awful news. RIP.

Just saw it on WWE.com and ABC, I can’t believe he’s gone.

Damn I did NOT see this one coming. He didnt look energetic on Raw or anything but he’s older now so I took that with a grain of salt. Very emotional couple days in the wrestling world. RIP Warrior

  9. Awesome_Miz says:

Man a storyline of this would have been better. But, this makes you wonder as well if the WWE and Warrior this was going to happen due his induction and coming into a new DVD and all that jazz.

Wow…I can’t believe it. Very odd that it happened just two days(I think) after he was in the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony at Mania…

They just posted a full story on WWE.com. He actually has passed away.
