Thought of the Day: A Real B+ Player
Unlike Daniel Bryan of course.A real B+ player is someone like Sheamus. He’s capable of having a very good match under the right circumstances, stays over, has a good look, has a solid resume and can easily slide into the main event scene if need be. That’s a very valuable hand to have in the company and he’s still young enough to be turned into something with a bigger impact. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I think it goes like this:
A+: Hogan, Austin, Rock, Bruno, Andre and Cena.
B+: Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Undertaker, Ric Flair and other known only by Wrestling fans.
C+: Jericho, Punk, Eddie, Benoit, Edge, Christian and other world champs which weren’t top draws.
Take out Bruno from A+. That is not his fault however, since he did not have the platform to become as popular.
Andre I think is just below Rock, Cena, Hogan and Austin. His popularity is severely underrated/forgotten but I still don’t think he is on their level. To me, he is the closest anyone is to them.
KB you should think about making a page where you have an overall grade for the wrestlers on the roster.
I’ve thought about that before. Maybe some day.
Or perhaps instead of a page just give an overall grade in the wrap-up section of Wrestler of the Day.

What’s funny is Rock is undoubtably an A+ player, yet he was only the face of the company when Austin was injured
That’s because it’s a subjective term.
What’s there to argue? Rock is absolutely an A+ player, as well as the third biggest star in the history of wrestling. By a mile.

3) Rock ?
Cena’s not A+ though?
He’s right on the cusp. The fact that business wasn’t huge with him on top hurts him.
True, although being the face of the company for a decade now puts him pretty damn close.
Yeah it does. I wouldn’t argue someone saying he is.
I was talking in real world terms, not favoritism.
Problem is it isn’t a real world it’s a fictional one. Ranks don’t actually exist for them.
What of Sheamus?
It’s a real one if you actually think about it instead of just saying some version of “it’s my opinion and therefore it can’t be wrong.”
Would you consider Jericho a B+ player?

He’s fun on the mic, good in the ring. actually found a way to survive outside wrestling. Yet still Comes back to make the new talent look good.

Guys like Hogan, Rock and Austin are A+ players. Cena isn’t even an A+. Jericho is about 8000 miles from Cena, so no way he’s an A+.
You realize it’s a fictional rank right? I could say Jericho, Flair, and Undertaker are A+ players. May not make it true but it’s just as valid as you listing those guys. Hell Due to the wrestlemania 30 storyline Daniel Bryan is now an A+ player. The whole storyline was he wasn’t in the same league as Triple H, Drax the Destroyer, and orton. He beat them all and became “A+”.
By the way would you agree that Sheamus first 2 wwe title reigns did nothing at all and actually made him look terrible? He accidentally throws Cena through a table and holds the belt less than 3 months. Then he “beats” Cena in a cage match after 9 guys show up to keep Cena from winning. I’m curious to your thoughts on the matter?
The good look thing is kind of underrated. My mom has only seen a couple of shows, but she knows who Bryan and Sheamus are because they look distinctive.
