International Network Dates
They
The UK gets the Network at some point in October.
Over 170 countries and territories get it on August 12, including Canada, Australia, Spain and Mexico among many others.
There’s good stuff in the report, but the number of buys still isn’t great. International will help A LOT though. THere’s also an offer of one month for $19.99, which will come off as a great deal for people wanting a pay per view and nothing more. THis could be far worse.
So Canada only gets the stream and not the vod?
From what I understand, one will be online and one will be a regular channel.

“The UK gets the Network at some point in OCTOBER.”
Also does the Rogers deal mean Canadian’s can’t get the Network online as well?
will the network be available in india?
That’s the plan for a further date.
“THere’s also an offer of one month for $19.99”
Is this for Canadians only?
American I believe.
Any idea why UK gets it after everyone else?
Not that I’ve heard.
It’s about damn time Australia got this thing.
And my calender is officially marked.
Yeah they will break one million easily. Not worried at all.
Nor should you it’s not your money or business.
I didn’t mean I’m worried literally. It was expression. As in I’m sure they will break a million.
Lighten up.
Fans have every right to be concerned for the financial success of the company. The more money earned results in more money spent on things like bringing in talent and provides less budget cuts.
When did i suggest that fans couldn’t be concerned for financial success of a company? I’m saying that It’s odd that people on this board seem to be more concerned with the money than the performance. The fans are now so bored that they want to talk about budget cuts, pay offs, and quarterly earnings?
Discussing things like earnings, ratings and salaries is in no wat new for wrestling fans.
*way
I’ll be honest, as a business major those things are actually interesting. They are boring as hell (and hard as hell) to learn but after that it’s actually kind of interesting. I swear it’s not all shrink on the inventory of paper clips.
Some people just like business.
Your right some people do just like business. Those people are perfectly valid in enjoying said business. You know what isn’t ok? Trying to use said business numbers to tell people who to like or who to find entertaining.
You see if for instance Someone where to say that Cm punk is more entertaining than or a better wrestler than j.c. This statement could be true. As I’m sure the individual is more entertained by one than the other. Spouting off figures and gates and so forth. Is not going to change that perception. This is what drives me nuts.
Well usually the person who is the most entertaining is best for business.
But the point of a wrestler is to draw. Cena draws better than Punk (I hear Punk still has trouble drawing fridge worthy pictures*). That is not an opinion. Therefore Cena is a better wrestler because he is better at his job than Punk. I’m not trying to say you have to like Cena more. Just pointing why literally Cena is a better wrestler.
Now for who is actually ‘better’ in the ring/on the mic, that is opinion. Since wrestling is scripted, you can’t actually be better in the ring/on the mic than someone. In our opinion, you can. It’s all subjective to your personal preferences. I like both guys equally anyway.
What drives me nuts is when people say Punk is better than Cena and deserves to main event over Cena. The business side says why this isn’t true. The business side is not saying this without reason. If Cena draws the most money, that must mean more people want to see him than anyone else. Therefore Cena must entertain the most people. You don’t have to like Cena. I just hate when people complain that Cena needs to step aside for Punk or whoever. There is a reason he doesn’t and that reason has nothing to do with a shovel,
*It’s 4 am here, I’m tired.
I am glad they are keeping the 6 month commitment for the 9.99 deal.
