I was reading around dirtsheets and listening to podcasts throughout the day today and 2 things stumbled onto me. For one, reports indicated that the crowd was RADICALLY Pro-TNA. Cheered TNA guys, boo’ed W-1 guys, loudly. That’s pretty telling that despite the building not going past 2400 they were all there for TNA rather than Wrestle-1.

Secondly was why TNA seemed to ignore the PPV and it being pro-Wrestle-1. Apparently that was a deal Jeff Jarrett brokered before he left TNA last year. Meaning that if it’s true, Jeff signed off the biggest event of his own wrestling promotion to another company and then ditched them both right after for his own endeavors. Sounds like a dick move on Jarrett’s part that left TNA in the bad position of making BFG a cross-promotion event or not have it at all. All that being rumor of course.

On the bright side, it had tremendous support from the fanbase despite the piss poor promotion and it was minimal production. In essence, all they payed for was travel. At least that’s what I assume as Wrestle-1 booked the venue, sold the tickets and booked the matches. I’d take it all TNA had to do was show up. As opposed to Lockdown and Slammirvesary that had major hype and bad attendance in a massive buildings.

I read the Results earlier and I saw no reason to watch it. I can’t imagine who in their right mind spent $50 on this PPV.

Oh man how bad was that probably? I’ve ordered Bound for Glory 4 years in a row. It was always one of my automatic buys along with Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble and Slammiversary. This year my streak ended and it looks like I made the right choice. I’m not even mad. It’s more depressing knowing how much I used to enjoy this company and it’s reduced to this. Basically needing to turn their big show into a Wrestle-1 show. And I almost caved. Thank goodness I came to my senses and didn’t buy this show
