Average show with a great ending. Since they went ahead and did the rehiring of Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan on this show, I think Brock retains. I feel like Vince sees Lesnar vs Reigns as the big money match at WM and that could be a good draw, though I’m not convinced it’d be a very good match.

you’re a goof buddy, the reason the old timers are brought back is because they elicit more of a reaction than the entire current roster combined, deal with that hater

“they elicit more of a reaction than the entire current roster combined”

So you agree with me that the current product sucks then? And you also agree that WWE has no faith in the current roster to sell the PPV? So we’re in agreement then. I mean you just said the current roster COMBINED can’t elicit a reaction like the old timers. I’d say that is pretty telling on their current product and roster.

Well duh if they bring back very popular old guys every once in awhile they will get a huge reaction. If they brought back Headbanger Mosh, I bet he would get maybe one polite golf clap.

I’m not bothered by the Vigilante thing at all. I actually think that nickname fits.

I was intrigued by what New Day said. It almost seemed like they were hinting a heel turn.

‘The Vigilante’ moniker makes me want to throw up.

I loved the show. You could argue that the wrestling wasn’t top notch, however for me the mic work was top notch. There were a couple of moments that got me on the edge of my site and really excited. I always mark out for Michaels, Nash and Hall, so I was happy. I must say that Billy Gunn looked good. Stinger appears to have dropped some weight.

I’m in the UK so I watch this on Tuesday/ Wednesday, I often break it up into 2 or 3 chunks. This week the only reason I didn’t watch it all the way through was because I had to go to work.

Overall I would give the show a B-.

Can’t you not let KB have his opinion, instead of trying to discredit it as he “needs educating on pro wrestling”, as you so put it?

Pop quiz, hotshots: When you have John Cena facing a trio of heels that include Big Show, Kane, and young sensation and current top company heel Seth Rollins, which bad guy will Cena pin? What should be the answer: Who cares, as long as it’s either Kane or Show. What was the answer: To the surprise only of fans who discovered this strange thing called pro wrestling sometime in the last couple of months, Rollins. Everybody else watching knew full well that Vince still feels, despite over a decade of crowd reactions to tell him otherwise, that Show and Kane are still too big and scary to be beaten and nobody would buy it.
The complete and total devaluing of wrestling titles really kicked into gear during the Vince Russo era, when titles would switch from guy to guy on a weekly basis. Russo may be gone now, but that kind of damage isn’t fixable without tremendous effort over a long period of time…and sorry gang, that type of thing just ain’t Vince’s bag. But the trend this decade in WWE is to have either the Intercontinental or U.S. champ get pinned in a non title match on Raw on a near weekly basis. Any idea as as to who and how they convinced upper management this was a solid long term booking strategy? Am I just not looking deep enough, is there something about removing all prestige from these titles and their current holders that generates revenue, or fan support, maybe sympathy, or anything? Because all I see is the senseless self-destruction of titles and workers that could easily be adding intrigue to the mid-card with just some very basic, proven booking. Or maybe I’m just too old, and should be leaving Raw to the younger crowd while I sit around whining to anyone who might listen about how much greater a 25 minute Sammartino headlock was compared to a disorganized, albeit thrilling, spotfest?

This was another enjoyable show, and better than most of the Raws lately. I’d put this up in B territory myself. Lite on the actual wrestling, true, but I enjoyed the reunion stuff for the most part.

Still scratching my head about what they’re doing with The Ascension, though…….

  9. whosnext98 says:

What? No James Gracie yet? I’m…..shocked.

Final pick for the rumble man?

  11. larisano says:

    Surprised at the rating, KB.

Just because of the ending, I’d give it a D or a C-, if I’m generous, but I was completely zoned out of the entire apart from Tag reunion until the ending, ntm, the Reigns-Show part was made too obvious for my liking which spoiled that segment somewhat.

I have to admit, that Lesnar opening had me interested up until Stephanie showed up and did the counsellor schtick, which infuriates me, since it is given no one would smash her because of some apparent restrictions in PG.

  12. Hamler says:

Love love loved that Raw. Not only a great Raw but probably the best ending we’ve had in a while. I’m praying we get enough Rollins vs Lesnar this Sunday with all the tension that has been built over the last couple of weeks. I’m ready to see Lesnar tear Rollins head off, and I love Rollins.

  13. Silverback says:

This was an awful show with a cool ending. I don’t get your rating and it really dragged.

    • Thomas Hall says:

I have a feeling I’m going to get this a lot. It really didn’t bother me all that much, though the first hour was pretty horrible.

      • Jay H (the real one) says:

I am with you KB. The Show was good and the ending was EPIC. That’s you how start the Road To Mania. Sting’s RAW Debut,Brock killing people, and the Reunion stuff on top of that. Its got me even more pumped for the Royal Rumble on Sunday.
