Great main event. But it was really stupid of Triple H to mock the idea of Rollins vs Reigns taking place in Denver because that’s a marquee match and then the dunderhead gives us the signature match of the upcoming PPV as the main event of Raw with highlights that remind us its supposed to be the signature match of that PPV. Does no one revise these scripts before they go out?

The entire point of Raw is to get the casual fan to subscribe to the Network. Tonight ‘s main event makes the casual fan says “This is what Sirvivor Series is like? I’d watch that.” Last week they built up the number one contender, tonight they attempted to sell the purchasing of the show on its concept.

Enjoyable show tonight and I’m somewhat intrigued if Swagger will be Del Rio’s first challenger, his first ally in the building of a stable or if we just don’t see him again for another six months.

I’m not sure on the first part of that. The entire point of Raw is to draw an audience to keep the network happy so they’ll pay WWE hundreds of millions of dollars for the TV rights. A million Network subscribers means $10 million. NBC paid over $200 million for WWE TV.

You’re right. But you often say it in your WCW reviews that they had a problem of booking for TV instead of the PPV. I have no problem with them showing people what they have to look forward to if they watch Survivor Series. They always think people are going to watch Raw because it’s on TV, but they’re actually trying to get people to buy the Network. Whether they’re doing the right thing or not, their plan is booking for the Network. Evidenced by the amount of times they referenced the Network tonight, roughly 15, to the amount of times they referenced next weeks episode, zero.

I get that, but I think they would have been better off doing a midcard match instead of a match that could have headlined the show if they didn’t have Reigns vs. Rollins already set in stone. At least not with just two hours of build.

They definitely are building for the Network, but I’m not sure how well that plan is going.

It’s still a bad idea to show that only 20 days before the ppv. Tease it or oh I don’t know, Use the network to show past survivor series to hype it. You have the added benefit of showing cool things you can see on the network, while also pushing the upcoming show at the same time. On top of that you don’t have to overexpose the wrestles or the matches before the ppv.

Despite them doing the Match tonight I enjoyed it alot as I am sucker for Survivor Series. Good to see The Usos back and i would say they are next in the line for the Tag Titles with New Day. The Divas Match was very good and thats what needed to happen weeks ago instead of all the Teams fighting for control.

The Superkicks don’t bother me that much but yeah they either need to cut down on them or at least have them win a Match or two here & there.

Now cue a certain someone to tell us how bad it was again.
