Good show. You can call the booking of the IC title scene from a mile and it’s ok. Miz deserves a small run and this will all culminate in Cesaro getting the belt in two PPVs.

Ambrose is still good and interesting to me. I think the match was weird because they probably figured on having a 13-14 minute match and then Enzo got hurt so Vince/Creative decided to spilt the ten minutes they had between Jericho/Ambrose and the McMahon segment. It literally looked like they just aborted the finish in the Ambrose match and then did it again with an improvised ending.

Great main event which is also a somewhat obvious booking( given the goings on in NXT) which I think will end up being questionable in the long term but really fun in the short term.

Zayn and Owens was great but they can do better so I hope they get another match soon. The women’s title( and division as a whole) seems weird as they obviously haven’t figured out how to build multiple feuds yet and can’t figure out who they want to look strong. Poor Corbin and Poor Crews( both could have probably been better utilized in NXT during it’s transition even though if booked properly they are both better suited for the main roster audience.)

The Miz has gotten fantastic these past few months. He’s got a limited moveset but much like John Cena and Roman Reigns, he’s really learned how to squeeze as much drama and excitement out of them. Plus his mic work has been phenomenal.

Payback was a good Show and I can overlook Miz & Montreal. Roman/AJ was a heck of a Main Event, can’t wait to see them do it again in 3 weeks. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn was damn good and I also enjoyed Ambrose/Jericho. KO was definitely a highlight on commentary especially when he told Micheal Cole he’d rather face him but thats going to happen.

I was a big Ambrose since the Shield split. Thought he was going to be a made man, but my god he’s lost more matches than Reigns and Rollins combined and I can’t wrap my head around it. His squash to Brock at WrestleMania will be one of the biggest head scratchers ever to me. He gets treated like an annoying fly for the whole build up and Brock just destroys him with ease? I…Have no idea what they were going for with that.

Point is, it’s hard for me to even care about what Ambrose is going to do next because he’s just going to lose again. Bray and Ambrose must have teamed up and pissed in creative’s Wheaties one morning. Their booking cannot and has not been explained to me that makes sense. Things like that just irritate me about the company.

Finished watching Payback (was great), then promptly switched over to my HBO GO to catch up on GoT (OMG! He is BACK!); and then switched back to your website to catch your reviews before turning in for the night.

Couple that in with the Raptors winning Game 7, Leicester taking a step closer to the title; It has been a satisfying Sunday!

He’s gotten a lot better since he came up. His recent matches especially with Styles have been good to excellent.

I agree with you often but your love for Miz completely perplexes me. Atleast admit it’s irrational.

Not really. I’m a fan of the guy and he’s perfect for the role he’s in. I don’t want to see him as a top heel or anything like that. Just have him be a midcard heel who people like seeing punched in the face.
