Summerslam To Have 3 Kickoff Matches, 13 Matches Total
Now with the Dudley Boyz vs. Sami Zayn/Neville and the six Smackdown tag teams in a twelve man tag. Cesaro vs. Sheamus has also been bumped to the pre-show.
Even I’m getting tired of all this. There’s no need to cram all this stuff on there and it’s just going to burn the audience out even more than they already are.
Yes I agree, if you don’t like it then skip it. That being said, I am a fan of all the extra matches….brings me back to the 80’s when I first started watching. I loved the PPV’s in The Golden Era when they had a tonne of filler matches.
I understand that, I do as well. But you don’t watch Superatars and Main Event. And I’d be impressed if you watch every ounce of content they release on the Network.
My point is, when you know you’re going to be exhausted by the show being so long, why not skip the content that doesn’t matter?
Because I get paid to cover the whole thing, not just part of it.
This might be a stupid question but if it’s so long to you, why watch the pre-show? I’m as big of a fan as there is and I NEVER watch the pre-show. There’s just no need to. It’s like the dark matches they put out there before Raw or Smackdown: we don’t see those either and nobody cares. Or the fact that the pre-game for the Super Bowl is a 12-hour marathon. Yeah some people complain about it and others say ‘I don’t care, I’m not watching.’
I’m going to watch on Sunday at 7pm and I guarantee I won’t be as burnt out as you are when its all over.
I watch it because it’s WWE and I watch WWE.

Yeah well least I can still enjoy it for what it is without nitpicking at every little thing that happens.
Can I ask why though we have to complain about the length of the Show or how many Matches there are? Summerslam is one of the Big 4 and should be treated as such. If the Show is good and delivers (which i think it will) who cares what they add to it. That;s one of my problems with Fans today is they are spoiled and just can’t enjoy it for what it is.
With three matches on the pre-show, it’s now equal to Wrestlemania in length. Summerslam is big, but it shouldn’t be equal to the undisputed biggest show of the year.
They need to cut down all around. Wrestlemania this year was absurd.
Oh yeah. The wife and I were sitting there wondering if the main event was going to be thirty seconds long as the extra hour wasn’t made clear.
First of all your a fan today, so you insulted yourself. Second six hours of wrestling is insane I don’t care how good it is. Quality over quantity. Don’t cram so many matches on cards.
