I don’t get the appeal of The Authors of Pain. I know they were the logical choice given DIY winning the tag belts, but they’re a less exciting 3 Minute Warning to me. Glad to see Roode/Dillinger be a fight. It’s annoying when you have a “grudge” match and they spend the first 5 minutes trying to outwrestle each other. Loved the rest of the card.

Every time I come in thinking that this will be the time NXT lets me down just a little bit they crush it in surprising fashion. I didn’t love the Dillinger/Roode match as much as you did( it felt like a main event style match as an opener and honestly neither guy just tickles me pink with their in ring work) but the crowd carried it home enough.

I would have liked to see more of AoP v TM61. I figured they would at least get 12-14 minutes but it did it’s job. That flip dive from Thorne off the crane will be in NXT highlight packages forever though.

I’m just gonna skip ahead to Mickie v Asuka real quick. Way better match than I thought and I am loving Asuka’s multi stage slow burn heel turn. I just hope the fans can accept it because it is really excellent work from someone who can’t really cut an english promo or fake her way through it like Nakamura can.

Revival v DIY was beautiful. If you ever want to describe wrestling as an art form than show them this match. MOTY( prison of the moment I know) and truly exceptional work from all four guys. The story telling when throughout from the call back to the tap out in Brooklyn to trading finishers to the Heart Attack in Toronto. Perfection!

Also lets play a fun game and try to name the best Revival feud or match of the year. Enzo/Cass, American Alpha, DIY its all been nothing but the best tag wrestling that I have seen in years. I hate to jump the gun on team that is essentially on a 18 month hot streak but Revival might be all time great team if they keep this up.

Nakamura and Joe really outdid there very good match in Brooklyn. I sorta hate that in three of the four big time grade A matches that happened this year( Styles, Zayn, Balor, Joe II) that he goes from selling a body part like it’s a gunshot to no selling by the end of the match. It’s his one achilles heel. But Joe was excellent tonight because he didn’t get to sluggish and just whipped out the crazy suplex and submission combos that made him famous. Loved the story telling bit at the end with the overzealous Nakamura rushing into the move that cost him earlier in the feud. Also great job of selling that point of commentary Graves and Phillips. Can’t wait for a street fight or something between them in San Antonio.

Just got back from seeing this live. What an awesome show. Fans are in love with bobby roode. I have never heard such a crowd reaction before.

The dusty classic fell kind of flat. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t a bad match but most people didn’t seem to know who either team was. Also some loud booing from my section for tm61. Right choice imo with authors of pin win. The chain Ellring dropped ended up belting someone in the audience in the face.

What can you say about the tag title 2 out of 3 falls match. I have never seen such a great match with picture perfect pacing, near falls, heat from the heels, and a molten hot tag to Campia. Add a crowd eating up everything they do and I don’t see how this couldn’t be a moty contender

Mickie looked like she hasn’t lost a step and give Askua “my favorite female wrestle in the wwe umbrella” A run for her money. In the end Askua caught Mickie in her submission and Mickie tapped out. Fun match. Love the slow burn heel turn with Askua.

Main event had a dozen or so Violin players “Who i’m almost certain weren’t actually playing” Mimed Nakurmara to the ring. He and joe proceeded to beat the ever loving shit out each other. You’ve got to be there live to see just How hard these guys are beating on each other. I was stunned That joe won the title match. I’m guessing a rubber match at the Texas takeover in January? Great match though.

All in all I had a great time and will definitely go to an nxt show, Should they come to my neck of the woods again.

Also A big heel for most of the night was the guy controlling the crane camera. Large chants of move the crane!

I was pretty surprised Joe won back the Title myself. I read they are filming some stuff for when NXT heads to Australia and Japan including Joe and Shinsuke in a Cage. The Revival and DIY was off the page, very glad for Gargano/Ciampa winning the Belts. Mickie looked good in her return with Asuka, Roode/Tye Dillinger was a fun opener. I would agree about The Authors Of Pain feuding with DIY next.
