Thought of the Day: Never Have They Ever
Ok so this is actually trivia.Booker T. and Shawn Michaels never met in a singles match, including on house shows. They wrestled in tag matches and against each other in the Elimination Chamber but they never wrestled one on one. You really would have thought that would have happened at some point in their careers.
Weren’t they supposed to be the Battle of the Billionaires match at Mania 23? HHH got hurt and they put Shawn against Cena instead. But yes, still odd
When Booker first came in the WWE, Shawn was still retired (they had a brief interaction as “members” of nwo, i guess). By time Shawn returned to active duty, both he and Booker were faces. In 2004 Booker moved to Smackdown and was there until 2007 when he moved back to Raw (where he was there from June to August). Since he was a heel, this was a perfect time to face Shawn…except Shawn was injured all during Booker’s brief Raw tenure.
It’s not only weird that they didn’t face each other but it’s also weird that they basically almost completely avoided each other too.
