Paige and Mark Henry Retire
Paige and Mark Henry have both retired, with the former due to injury and the latter seemingly just because he’s old enough to.

Henry leaving isn’t a big surprise as he hasn’t wrestled since Wrestlemania XXXIII and honestly, it’s not that big of a loss at this point. He was awesome in 2011 but aside from that, it was a lot of the same old stuff from him. He was a heck of a mainstay though, especially given how one note his character was for a long time.
Paige…egads. She’s 25, has a long resume and just came back after a long hiatus due to injury. I was really interested in seeing what was going to happen with the Absolution stable but now, I can’t imagine things going well for the other members. This is quite the shame and I’d have loved to see Paige against the newer women.
Facts only work when they support my opinion, otherwise they aren’t real facts.
With Rollins, he removed some of the moves that were hurting people and stopped doing others as frequently. He realized there was an issue and corrected it. Sasha keeps doing the same stuff though. If you want to be the female Sabu and destroy your own body, then go ahead. It is your job to protect your opponent and do everything you can to work safely with them though. Accidents happen, but when accidents keep happening then you need to look at the root of the problem.
I find it rather funny that the woman who has been involved in more injuries since her arrival than any other is somehow NOT connected to injuries in any way, shape or form. Like, we’re not saying Sasha is doing it on purpose but to deny the link between Sasha’s work and injuries is flat out ignoring facts.
And you still haven’t answered who’s really missed time after being in the Ring with Sasha. The answer is nobody.
See, know you’ve changed the question because you asked for a list which I gave. Then you’ve changed it to requiring time off which would suggest that minor injuries caused by Banks are somehow irrelevant to the discussion. Nice try, though.
We’re clearly not going to agree. You’re denying that the sky is blue so enjoy your green sky. At the end of the day, Banks lost in like 2 minutes tonight because of a kick to the tummy.
You might not hold her responsible at all but clearly the multiple million dollar company, run by a family with decades of wrestling running through their blood, does to some extent.
I literally listed like five names of people Sasha has hurt and she has hurt herself like four other times. I mean, it’s not that hard.
So Austin being mad about his neck being broken somehow makes Owen Hart dangerous? Or could it be, and I’m just throwing this out there, he’s mad about getting injured? Of course Austin is going to be mad about getting injured. Doesn’t change that Owen 999/1000 was usually safe. Screw ups happen, especially in physical activity.
Again, where is this magical list of Sasha messing people up?
Show me proof about these supposed multiple injuries she has given to others and how much time they’ve missed.
I just think you don’t like her and are just looking to blame her. Seeing as how Paige doesn’t hold her responsible and Sasha has no heat with anyone.
Banks shouldn’t lose her job or anything but to deny that there is a history, to say that there is no evidence of Banks being sloppy in the ring is beyond stupid. We have MULTIPLE incidents of Banks hurting other AND hurting herself. That isn’t reaching. It literally happened. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact that Sasha Banks has sustained and given more injuries than anyone else in the women’s division since her main roster debut. It could’ve been anyone but the risk for Paige was considerably higher when she entered the ring with Banks who, as has been proven, has a history of injuries to not just herself but to others.
And Steve Austin held a grudge against Owen for years after that happened. He held him responsible. So, that doesn’t work as an argument when the guy involved could barely speak Owen’s name without getting angry about him breaking Austin’s neck.
Banks’ laundry list: Alicia Fox, Emma, Alexa Bliss, Paige, Charlotte at SummerSlam a few years ago and herself like 5 times – I seriously cannot think of someone who has suffered more injuries than Sasha Banks in her first few years on the main roster.
Boy you are just really reaching aren’t you? Alicia Fox, Emma, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte all weren’t faced with career ending injuries were they?
Again go watch Steve Austin’s podcast and listen to Paige describe how her back is. Her own Doctor even said she shouldn’t be Wrestling anymore after her surgery.
I say it again if it wasn’t Sasha it could have been anyone else that Paige was in the Ring with that it could have taken place with. She was on borrowed time.
WWE doctors cleared her, which is all that matters. Paige wasn’t ready for the bump (no one’s fault), but Sasha didn’t read the situation and planted Paige on her head at a bad angle with the kick. I’m not knocking Sasha as a wrestler, but I will agree she doesn’t wrestle the “safe” style you would usually associate with WWE wresters of this era. Coincidence or not, there are more injuries in her matches than any other woman, and that has to be part of the reason she doesn’t get a sustained push, and hasn’t had a successful title defense.
And what is a safe style anyway? Wrestling isn’t ballet, go back to Owen Hart dropping Austin on his head. That was an accident too.
I just think it’s disgusting people are blaming Sasha for this when it could have easily been anyone seeing as how Paige was on borrowed time anyway.
I hope they let her keep a job, like she’s still the leader of Absolution, just purely as a manager and they have a rule that she can’t get physically involved. Would be a nice consoliation prize after what she’s been through.
Banks with her sloppy work just hurting others now instead of herself.
Dude seriously you and others blaming Sasha for what happend with Paige are disgusting. I bet you blame Seth Rollins for injuring Sting and Samoa Joe for the accident with Tyson Kidd too.
Wrestling ain’t ballet folks. It sucks but those are the breaks. I hope they can find another role for Paige in the Company.
As for Mark Henry i kinda wish he would have had a bigger sendoff but maybe he wanted to slip away quietly and that’s ok too.
Pay no attention to prophet. He is an idiot unfortunately.
It’s not about blaming people. It’s about recognizing a trend with people like Banks and Rollins who have injured multiple people. Banks regularly hurts herself in the ring which highlights her sloppy work. Rollins has seriously injured three top level wrestlers (Sting, Cena and Balor), to say that there is no issue with the two of them is to deny the same occurrence happening over and over again.
If I ride a bike and crash into a fence three different times, on three different bikes, than maybe it’s not the bike that’s the problem – it’s the person driving it. Same can be said for the likes of Banks and Rollins, injuries follow them consistently, speaks to them not being as good as people believe. Not blaming them, just pointing out the evidence which is obvious to anyone with half a clue.
Sting – Sting said the bucklebomb bump is easy. My body just couldn’t take it for some reason. Not his fault. Likely reason, Sting is old.
Balor – Bad luck landing.
Cena – It ain’t ballet. Accident. They happen.
So do you have a huge list of how Sasha hurt herself/others? Oh wait, you made that up. Ah, got it. Paige was only a matter of time if that bump injured her.
Owen dropped Austin on his head. Doesn’t mean Owen was dangerous. He screwed up. Obvious to people who aren’t idiots.
It’s exactly what you are doing Prophet you are blaming Sasha Banks for Paige having to retire early.
Her own Doctor told her before he came back her career was on borrowed time and she shouldn’t be Wrestling anymore.
Maybe you should watch her Podcast with Steve Austin a couple years ago. She flat out says her back is shaped like a question mark.
It wouldn’t have mattered if it was Sasha or anyone else. It was only a matter of time.
