WWE Announces #1 Moment in Raw History

Again?
So WWE has put together the top 100 moments in Raw history with the top 25 being voted on by the fans. This Monday a countdown video was released and the top five were:
5. The First Stunner to Vince
4. Chris Jericho Debuts
3. Occupy Raw
2. Pipe Bomb
1. Austin and the Beer Truck
I’m kind of stunned that the Pipe Bomb was allowed to be mentioned but it had to be on there. The beer truck….ok I guess, but it never struck me as being head and shoulders above everything. Actually it was the beer truck that was also voted the #1 moment at the ten year anniversary.
I’d have gone with Foley winning the title for the first time. It’s emotional, memorable, entertaining and FREAKING LOUD. That one sticks with a lot of people and almost every big name in the company is right there for it.
Even though the Invasion turned into a disaster, I would put the 2001 Raw/Nitro simulcast #1……..maybe. Its a tough call.
A buddy of mine called me and just said “what do you think”. It was a huge moment.
Huh? Sarcasm?
I meant it literally.
The night of the simulcast, a buddy of mine called me as soon as Shane made his announcement and we were stunned.
8. Women’s Evolution Begins [Trish Stratus/Lita Women’s title main event] (December 6, 2004)
I’m dead. I’m crying because I’m laughing so hard.
I’m not sure why actually.
The idea that the Women’s Evolution began in 2004, which was then followed by angles revolving around Mickie James being fat, Lita being driven out of the WWE with JTG waving a vibrator around and selling used underwear, Mania title challengers being the woman who appeared in Playboy that year – it’s a beautiful revisionist WWE history at it’s finest.
That makes more sense. I thought it was the idea of the match being on there at all.
That stunner was pivotal.
Decent Top 5 aside from the cheesy Occupy Raw segment. I’m trying to think of a Rock moment that should be on here but can’t come up with one off the top of my head.
He was in the Jericho debut. And This Is Your Life Rock would be way up there as well (in the top 25).
Bill Lesnar would have assumed his return in 2011 would have been up there. Still the biggest raw moment this decade.
Rock Concert vs Toronto. As somebody that’s from Toronto.
Still one of the best promos I’ve ever seen. And that was just a promo, not a concert.
Bill lesnar doesnt understand how you can leave the Rock returning to host wrestlemania 27 out of your list.
