NXT does almost everything perfectly, that said, I don’t understand the fixation with AOP. They aren’t that impressive and their finisher is awful for a team that size. They’re not even the best big man team in WWE/NXT. Bludgeon Brothers, War Machine, and probably even Heavy Machinery are all better.

On the plus side, that ladder match for the North American title is going to be a beautiful car crash.

They did a great job making Almas look like he has a chance against Black.

Should be a great Takeover as usual.

“It didn’t feel scripted and it felt natural. Why does that NEVER happen on the main roster?”

Because Vince really needs to justify why he has over two dozen writers on staff.

It is funny that he seemly does this to make the WWE creative process more like a TV show, but I don’t know of any scripted show with that many writers on staff.

According to Bruce Prichard, he has a staff so he can avoid relying too much on a few people. So this way if one leaves, they aren’t scrambling to replace them.

Great review as always. I typically only watch Takeovers, but started checking out the weekly shows and this one especially was tremendous. In addition to the fast pace, I enjoy the different approaches – attack in the parking lot, interview with TM61 at the gym and they catch a fight behind them, Charly in the studio with an update, etc. I see your point about it flying by because no segment dragged, but it actually felt longer than an hour to me because of how much happened.
