Why should there have been a DQ when the Bro’s beat up Bryan? There was no one to DQ as the the next fall didn’t happen yet. Bryan beat Joe and before Miz could get in to start the next match the assault happened.

There’s no bell between falls and nothing that suggests a rest period. Therefore, the next fall automatically begins.

Rusev is long overdue for something like this. It’s not likely to lead to a title win and it’s probably just a one off until we get to Joe vs Styles as Summerslam but I wish they did this more often. Throw someone new out there for a one off title match at one of the lower ppvs rather than have the same two people fight for 4 shows straight.

Really happy for Rusev winning and getting a WWE Title shot with AJ next month. Not sure where they are going with the DB & Bludgeons deal, i would be pretty surprised if Miz is Bryan’s partner. I think Jeff Hardy & Shinsuke Nakamura has potential to be a solid feud for the US Title.

The Bludgeon Brothers thing was weird to say the least, but they do have some history with Bryan going back to the Wyatt Family. It’s also a way to again keep Bryan out of the championship picture until the time is right (certainly not a minor PPV). Simple fix here could be Bryan gets a partner and goes after the tag team belts at Extreme Rules or even on Smackdown. He could win for a hot minute as a way to passing the belts on to Sanity or whoever. Alternatively, his partner could turn on him and Bryan/partner could have the Extreme Rules match.

While I think you’re right in that I don’t want Miz as the partner, I’m not sure who else is left (besides the equally wacky partner Joe). Maybe Cesaro or…(gulp) Sheamus?
