I follow Progress a much as I can from over here in the States, so I can give a little context to the show.

First off, NJPW really screwed this show over as the card was built around Zach Sabre Jr v WALTER, due to Sabre winning Super Strong Style 16, and Will Ospreay v Jimmy Havoc( this was intended to blow off a long standing feud between them because Ospreay seems to have long multi year feud where he loses 80% of the matches with every wrestler in the UK). NJPW booked ZSJ and Ospreay to their US show so Tyler Bate v WALTER happened like 6-12 months earlier than expected. I think the NJPW bookings probably screwed us out Riddle v Bate tbh.

Btw go out of your way to watch more of WALTER’s matches in places like Progress, Rev Pro, PWG, wXw, and Evolve. The man is outstanding and is my pick for wrestler of the year. Particularly check out his Atlas title defense against his regular tag partner Timothy Thatcher from January or February of this year. It’s just the most brutal clash of friends ever.

I was there live, it was a really fun show and it was so important for the promotion. The fact it went over time wise spoiled the end for a lot of people, though, as the show was on a Sunday and a lot of fans had to get the train back and it wound up overrunning quite badly.
Try and catch Super Strong Style next year if you can, it’s good fun.
    Regards,
That guy who stopped you at the Raw after Mania in Orlando, ha.
