The opening segment was great. It wasn’t the usual 15 minute promo segment that leads to a tag team match. It was shocking and exciting and made me more interested in Raw than I had been since at least WrestleMania.

The next match was just as good. I’m fine with champions losing occasionally if it’s meaningful, and it certainly was. I instantly buy Joe as a threat to Kofi, and I’m excited to see their match. Joe needed this after all the losses he’s taken recently. Then the 24/7 title stuff was fun and a nice change of pace.

After that it was mostly the same problems we’ve seen for a long time. Overscripted promos, too much filler because of 3 hours, the SD Women’s Title contender losing in 8 seconds, a bad match being made worse by the ridiculous no wrestling during the commercial break rule, Corbin and Shane being pushed too hard and taking up too much TV time, etc. I wasn’t interested until Styles heel turn.

Overall I’d give the show a C or C+. Much better than the last few weeks, but there was a long stretch in the middle that holds this back.

Great show. Wouldve been so much better with no Corbin though

I’d say Heyman is off to a great start. Looking forward to more from him and now we will see what Bischoff will do on Smackdown.

They’re on the right track. If they can start ending raw with major cliffhangers like they used to, they’ll be back in my good graces. Definitely a better show tonight. Let’s get rid of Corbin so we can really shake things up.
