How much impact did john cena leaving have? Not talking ratings money or anything but the shows seemed a lot better with him because he was that larger than life superhero wrestling has always been about. I feel like people didnt appreciate him as much as they should have.

Yeah that’s one of the dirty little secrets that internet fans don’t want you to know: John Cena was really, really, REALLY good at pro wrestling.

Why can’t WWE realize that splitting the roster is stupid? They recycle matches due to limited roster. The women don’t have enough stars to be split. Same with the tag teams. Forces them to use lower talent who probably shouldn’t be on TV or used in only squash matches.

Steve Austin’s suggestion many moons ago was a soft split. Have certain people appear more on one show but never actually split the roster. That makes way more sense than this.

Dude if you’re going to have a two separate Shows then you need to go all in with it. No matter how much you may dislike it. Get over yourself.

      • Dmxfury says:

Why does he need to get over himself for a pretty reasonable opinion?

      • Greg says:

They shouldn’t do 2 separate shows then, dude. The brand split is stupid. It creates so many problems that WWE can’t and/or doesn’t know how to fix.

        • Jay H says:

Right because it creates so many problems because it gives people like Mustafa Ali or even a Chad Gable chance to shine on one Show where they wouldn’t if the Roster was one. Then we’d have to listen to you still complain because they weren’t being featured most weeks. What a horrible thing it is.

          • Greg says:

Who said those people deserve a chance to shine? Mustafa Ali still hasn’t developed much beyond guy who tries hard. The problems caused by a limited roster outweigh giving Sin Cara a match.

You could still show lower card guys with a soft split. Have Mustafa be mostly on Smackdown until he gets bigger. Easy.

          • Jay H says:

Who said they deserve a chance to shine? Well obviously not you it would seem. I guess you are perfectly fine with the newer guys not getting a chance to be on one Show or the other getting more TV than they would if the Roster was one.

How dare The Street Profits, Humberto Carillo, Aliester Black,Cedric Alexander,Buddy Murphy be given chances on RAW and same for the people on Smackdown. They need to go back to one whole Roster and let half those guys sit around doing nothing says the all knowing Greg.

The Brand Split isn’t going away anytime soon no matter how much you dislike it.

          • Greg says:

Cedric and Carrillo are both boring.

But that is besides the point. A soft split could accomplish the same things without handicapping them. You’re not addressing how the split creates problems for booking.

I mean we had Humberto Carrillo put over, Street Profits winning their debut, Ricochet/Drew McIntyre, and Andrade/Sin Cara both being good Matches as well. Have we not been clamoring for new faces on both Shows to be given chances? I’d say it worked out pretty well.
