Yeah i actually didn’t think the Lashing Segment was bad at all. Cody is actually one of the better things about AEW to this point along with Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and MJF plus SCU & the Lucha Bros. I like Adam Page too.

There’s Women’s Division though continues to be a mess and while Nyla Rose isn’t a much better option they need to get the Title off Riho especially if she isn’t going to be there most weeks.

Also im waiting on Adam Page to just kick Omega in the balls and walk out. I really don’t get why PAC wants this rubber Match with Kenny so badly with really nothing on the line.

I get what they were going for with the final segment but it didn’t connect with me as the brutality wasn’t really there. It was basically Cody getting whipped across the back 10 times with a leather belt. Maybe if it’d been about 30 times while using a bit leather strap like we saw in the Fiend vs. Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble, then it could’ve had that legit brutal feeling. But a mere 10 with a standard off the rack leather belt? Given that it happened so recently, I can’t help but compare the viciousness of this with the Fiend vs. Bryan match; Bryan came out of the match with bruises and welts all over him, including some shot so hard that it caused very minor bleeding in a few areas, so this was nothing.

I get where they were going and I liked the idea but, for me, it just didn’t have remotely the sort of impact it could have. They should’ve dialed up the intensity because it simply felt too fake.

I’m pretty sure SOMEONE in WWE had to know this was coming up, and put that Strap Match in the way. I didn’t watch, but this sounds a little derivative of Dreamer in ECW.

In a world full of highflyers and cruiserweights, Rey Fenix is at least top 3 greatest right now.

Ending segment was amazing too. It really makes me wonder though, why MJF would spend the last 15 minutes being the ultimate heel, pissing the crowd off then leave through the crowd when he’s done?

Decent show tonight. Nxt has this week for me though.
