Btw I’m kind of assuming that balor will get title shot at tampa. He beat gargano clean who was previous contender.

I think the main event was at least an a, if not an a plus. People online are considering this one of the best takeovers ever (Brandon stroud agreed that it would be in his top three). I just had no problem with the length of the cole/ciampa match because it was suspenseful and the crowd was eating it up.

Also I think that the length makes sense in terms of the story, cole is doing everything in his ability to beat ciampa clean and can’t do it, he hit him with everything and it was only after he couldn’t beat him with like the 3rd last shot or whatever that the undisputed era got involved.

I don’t mind the interference and such as it fits Cole. Just too much overall and they could have clipped some of it for the same result.

I can see why people would like it a lot more than I did. Maybe it’s just Cole fatigue.

I get where you’re coming from, some of the no selling was ridiculous for sure it just didn’t bother me as much.

The only thing that I was even the slightest bit put off by was that the kick outs and interference were getting a little ridiculous in the main event. I love some great dramatic moments but I just felt it was a little much and the outside interference…well, in all honesty, it came off more like something you’d see on the main roster in that you’ve got three men out there that common sense should tell the referee are helping their boy try to win. I just think Gargano’s turn would’ve had more impact had the UE not been out there trying to run interference first.

Still, those things aside, it was another amazing show from NXT. Each match felt different and felt like it had its own identity. You had a big man spot fest, which works because it doesn’t happen often and because of the novelty of seeing two men this big doing some of the stuff they did. You had the women’s street fight that told a great story that had some fun drama and a surprise ending with one of the ladies getting some new muscle. You had the straight up “I’m better than you” grudge match that built itself up nicely with strong psychology and storytelling. You had the women’s title match that had the two alpha females going at it with one as the gritty brawler and the other as an athletic dynamo. The tag title match was the wild spectacle between one of the most established and successful tag teams of the last decade against the upstarts consisting of the American stoner and the British brawler. The main event was simply about a man trying to regain what he had to give up, not what he lost, while the other man continues to cement his legacy as the greatest NXT Champion of all time.

Really good Show from start to finish. I thought for sure Ciampa was winning but Johnny Gargano being the one to screw him over was a surprise to me anyway. Should be interesting to see who faces Adam Cole in Tampa during Mania Weekend. Keith Lee & Dominik Dijakovic just continue to amaze me at the things they can do. Im looking forward to Rhea Ripley & Charlotte at WM 36.
