I really can’t stand Lawler on commentary. He’s sexist, crude, and always is off topic. Raw would be 10X better without him.

Only watched the edge segment and styles segment on YouTube and that’s it.
As much as Rollins is a natural bad guy other than crowd pleaser and the company is finally trying to pair him up with rising talent ( much like they did with Orton with legacy) the main event is saturated by his presence. Either one week they win or one week they lose. I get it 50 50 booking has been going on
I know this will NEVER happen but maybe wwe needs to literally take a break from programming around the whole year. I’m not saying right now but maybe only have 9 months to work instead of 12
Look Aew is growing and will eventually expand. Right now they just feel more fresh not only because they are new they also only produce one show a week They don’t have wwes training facilities to work out the matches so some of their talent is still green, their energy just feels fresher.
I know Aew is a startup You can see though that from February to May of last year they did long term planning for at least a year and a half maybe two years

If AEW keeps growing and they will, they will eventually retread story arcs How many times have we gone into a Batman or Spider-Man movie and watched how they became that hero. It’s not like both companies do not have talent, both do. Like a good weekly episodic television show we expect the story to move forward. If Raw was about cops catching criminals with the way they are booking we would see the same scenario as last week but just in a different city

Sports in general typically have an off season. It’s so the players can rest and also so the teams can adjust and change their roster. If the team is young and talented (like the Golden State Warriors) they win based off their talent. But as we have witnessed this season with the Warriors players either get hurt or move on and the team has to adjust on the fly Even the greatest teams eventually get replaced by younger more athletic teams

I know I ramble on and I would never be a good candidate for Twitter it’s just all I have been hearing is hey Aew or hey Wwe. That’s fine but I think what KB has explained about the Attitude Era specially 99 was Wwe was constantly trying to push the edge and be so edgy that people would not think of changing the channel. Fans loved it and it produced some GREAT moments but mostly it was the same stuff. All they really cared about was the ratings(Gasp, much like today). When you feel like you can’t be overtaken in wwe’s minds why do you feel the need to change!

I never quite understood what you were saying KB about people overglamorzing eras, but given the psychology of how they are booking today. I get it I wish Bobby the Brain and Gorilla could live forever. They do in our hearts, I would just love to hear their commentary on this era of wrestling Thank you KB for educating me. You are wise. God Bless

Question. (Do you still do your weekly podcast with your friend still). The few times I listened to that. I really enjoyed that)

Alas we don’t. The host found out that having a son isn’t exactly the easiest thing to juggle along with a show.

can I please request something – as someone who have all but stopped watching Raw or Smackdown (and generally just focus on the main ppvs) – can you add some color on how the general reaction from the crowd was on promos and match.

Nothing too drastic, or dramatic, but whether the promo was a good one or got the crowd riled or they just whatted it. You do it sometimes, but can we get more of it pls.

    • Isaiah Morrow says:

I second this, I really like reading his comments about major segments or promos in the show. Definitely not necessary for every single backstage segment or whatever but the main ones would be cool.

  4. NightShiftLoser says:

KO v Rollins is going to be a Lumberjack Match, isn’t it? It makes sense, with everyone fighting each other, but there’s so much talent involved that it seems like a waste.

How did AJ not mention McCool stealing his move?

Is MVP a new Famous B? This is now two prospective clients that have tried to take his head off.

  5. Jimmy Pledger says:

Well at least I can remember who the Women’s Tag Team Champions are. I often times forget the 24/7 Championship exists let alone who the champion is.

  6. Mike M. says:

Becky’s opening promo was good. She was becoming very unlikeable the last few weeks, but I felt like this promo did a lot of damage control with that. The AJ promo was off-the-charts good. I’m still not excited for his match with the UT, but it was great promo. The Kabuki Warriors promo was embarrassing and you could almost hear Vince laughing at it. Speaking of things only Vince would enjoy, Riddick Moss, why? This is the NXT guy who gets booked strong, Chuck Palumbo and Chris Masters’ love child? Why? Promo heavy show heading into WM season, but that’s to be expected. AJ, Becky, and Edge all delivered in that department though.

  7. Jay H says:

It was a decent enough Show to begin the home stretch. Edge wanting to murder Randy Orton was definitely the best part of the night. I did like seeing The Street Profits and Viking Raiders in the Main Event again. Be interesting to see who Austin interacts with next week in Pittsburgh. I also do wonder what kind of Match that Seth Rollins & KO may have since Rollins said Owens could pick a stipulation.
