Show was a solid C. That never ending Mysterio/Rollins storyline advancement brought it down to an F.

Retribution… I don’t even know where to start. This is terrible. Straight up garbage. Haven’t felt this let down (not that I had high hopes anyways which shows how bad it really is) in a LONG time.

  3. Jack-Hammer says:

I have to say that I don’t have high hopes for Retribution. Everything from their presentation to the names of the wrestlers just doesn’t seem like they’re going to go far, which is unfortunate as there’s some talented wrestlers involved.

The whole thing with Seth Rollins last night was just crap. The whole DNA thing almost felt like a poke at the Maury Povich Show. I could look at Rollins’ face last night while he was laughing and I could just tell that he was embarrassed to be out there doing that crap. It’s just another example of that ultra cheap, ultra corny soap opera style drama, or attempt at it in any case, that Vince has a weakness for.

I laughed when I read about the DNA test. Just why

  5. Sebastian Howard says:

I read something to the effect that Vince tore up the script before the show started (yet again) so all of the weird writing with Retribution you can probably attribute to him.

  6. Sebastian Howard says:

“Are they just trolling us with this story already? It wasn’t interesting in the first place and is coming up on five months. That’s Rusev/Lana/Lashley territory.”

In 2020 feuds never, ever end.

  7. Roy W Leader says:

you have the wrong post match info for the lee match

  8. Malcolm says:

Yeah, you’re right about Retribution being a disappointment. Again, this is WWE thinking the fans are stupid in thinking they wouldn’t recognize who the members were.
BTW, props for the Final Fight reference

    • Thomas Hall says:

A side scroller where you can play as an ex wrestler who uses piledrivers and German suplexes? Like I wouldn’t be a fan.

  9. Mike M. says:

Retribution is dead in the water, unless they get a major name as their leader. Even then, I’m not very optimistic. The names are awful and they were made to look weak tonight. They couldn’t have just let them pin Benjamin. Who would that have hurt?

At this point RAW is the land of stories that will never end. That, and SD being an hour shorter, make it the much more enjoyable show between the two right now.

I will agree that Smackdown is definitely the better of the two again lately.

RAW has some good pieces like The Hurt Business and the Drew Mcintyre/Randy Orton feud plus i still enjoy Asuka and anything she does. I was a bit worried they were going down the road with Rey’s Kids again not being his or whatever but thankfully it shifted to his Daughter & Buddy Murphy.
