Did they ever say what the Riott Squad was doing on Raw since I was under the assumption that the draft took effect starting with this show? If not, then why the hell was Otis teaming with Tucker wearing a mask?

This was bad? Personally i thought it was one of the better RAWs as of late. AJ/Matt Riddle plus the New Bodyguard for Styles, I liked the Kofi/Sheamus Match, Lana was actually competitive with Asuka even though i didn’t think she was winning, the interaction with The Fiend & Retribution plus they protected Mustafa Ali plus not giving away much with Drew & Randy Orton before Sunday in the Cell. Plus i don’t want to hear how Keith Lee was buried because he lost to a low blow basically followed by him returning the favor.

Are you able to be critical or unbiased at all? Or do you just accept anything WWE puts out as “great entertainment”.

      • Jay H says:

I don’t know. Are you able to not to be critical of everything they do? I’m sure that’s a tough answer.

        • Dragon says:

No it is not. I was a WWF mark from August of 1988 until last summer….I just could not handle the boredom of the 3 hour raws and the flip flop and fly style of NXT…..so while I am more critical now I still enjoy some of what WWE offers (Styles, Hardy, Hurt Business, Reigns heel turn) but seriously I dont know how one can praise Rollins/Mysterio, Lana, and that 2 members of 3MB have held the same world championship as Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan.

          • Jay H says:

So you’re saying Drew Mcintyre doesn’t deserve to be WWE Champion?

I mean i’ll give the Rey/Seth feud going on a bit too long now. Hopefully it’ll transition into Seth and Daniel Bryan based off Bryan’s return to Smackdown last week.

When I was writing this up last night, I came this close to titling it:

      “Yes Jay, We Know.”

Hahahaha amazing. This might be your jump the shark moment.

I actually enjoyed raw myself. Except 4 da headscratching burial of Retribution i was entertained thru out da 3 hrs

KB don’t you just love how the “hottest group in wrestling” were beaten by 3 middle aged charity cases, and then proceeded to have all 4 of their asses handed to them by The Fiend singlehandedly? I love the Fiend, but that was a bit much, considering Dijak and Brennan are both huge. Great way to ruin two of my favorites from the last couple of years in Ali and Dijakovic, ruined a good prospect in Brennan Williams and make me care even less about Shan’e Thorne

This episode of Raw as the worst in quite a while, maybe even since 2018 when Baron Corbin was featured all throughout the show.

Retribution means nothing, Keith Lee shouldn’t have lost to Braun Strowman and what in the blue f*** was the point in making Lana #1 contender for the Raw Women’s Championship?

As usual, Raw is a total crapshoot when it comes to quality and I believe it’s going to stay that way so long as Vince remains in power. Just a lot of nonsense and really one of the heavier “sports entertainment” packed shows in a while, which is one of the reasons why it was so bad. Nothing on this show felt like it mattered.

  6. Sebastian Howard says:

Holy shit this show was trash. The best thing was Alexa Bliss’s cleavage during the Funhouse segment (and her Freddy Kruger shirt).

First of all Retribution gets buried so hard, they lose their match clean and then get beat up by the Fiend. Ali, poor guy, has to take credit for two terrible gimmicks and is going to be the leader for this lame ass group. Terrible.

I don’t get why AJ needs a manager but I don’t hate it, the guy is big and it could go somewhere if he shows some wrestling talent.

Lana just keeps on getting buried as an fu to AEW?Miro. I think its pretty intentional at this point as this what, the fourth time she’s been put through a table by Nia Jax?

What in the actual heck was the point in breaking up the IIconics if they’re just going to team Peyon with Lacey? If you wanted to give Peyton a singles push she could’ve kept Kay as her manager and then if they wanted to go back into tag team stuff Kays right there. Instead they just broke them up because Vince hates friends and tag teams and everyone was ok with it at the time because Peyton was supposed to get a singles push but she isn’t.

Xavier Woods feels like an actual person who’s as screwed up from 2020 as like anyone actually would be. He didn’t try to sugarcoat the year and said it was a dumpster fire and I liked that, I think he’s the only wrestler to say on one of the shows that the whole years been terrible.

The Otis shit just pokes so many holes in the story that I didn’t think about before. So Miz separated him from Mandy and Tucker…. except he didn’t because Otis can show up whenever he wants as long as he has a mask on. Also if you think about it for two seconds Raw and Smackdown are in the same building and the same arena now so how tf would Miz splitting them up actually effect their relationship? It would’ve made sense if we were still doing live shows and shows in different arenas and house shows.

I can already hear the people bitching on twitter that Lee got buried. He really didn’t… but that was a shitty finish considering Lee hadn’t lost since he came to Raw. The headbutt to the balls didn’t even look like it hurt, Strowman could’ve at least followed it up with a slam.

The end was just an old school desperate Nitro ending, PLEASE BUY THE PPV/NETWORK.

Oh btw AJ mentioning the Powers to Be gave me bad Nitro flashbacks.

Other than the Alexa/Fiend interaction and Ali’s promo, this show was awful. Even Ali’s promo was not as effective as it could have been because they spent the first 15 minutes of RAW making Retribution look like a joke. Creative clearly has no idea what they’re doing on the Raw side.

I gave RAW another chance after the draft… thank goodness Monday Night Football is back.
