Was actually not expecting WarGames to happen but I would think it’ll happen in the Thunderdome because there’s zero room in the PC for 2 Rings.

Io and Rhea was excellent, I think it’s time for Rhea to move on to Mondays or Fridays now. Glad Finn Balor did not have to give up another Title either.

Shirai/Ripley was great. I feel like that was Ripley’s NXT send-off. I could see her being Nia’s comeuppance in the Lana angle. Wasn’t crazy how Balor was used last night. Him working with UE didn’t work for me. I would have rather had McAfee’s group maybe just harass Shirai and then UE. runs down. Excited for WARGAMES though even though, and I know I’m in the minority here, McAfee has “go away heat” for me.

This definitely felt like more of a pre-USA Network episode of NXT though and I dug it.

I would disagree with the Balor/UE stuff. The Internet fans know Balor and Cole are both Bullet Club (not at the same time).

Also, Balor is not smart and knew he’d be in a 4 on 1 situation.. He knew 4 people who wanted revenge, and the UE and he have already had multiple instances of mutual respect (Cole after losing the NXT Title match to Balor, and O’Reilly the same). Also, I recall Balor showing concern for Cole when Ridge Holland dropped him at ringside at Takeover 31.

In addition, Balor has no quarrel with McAfee and friends, who he could consider beneath him so why would he get involved?

Those are all valid points. It just seemed like they made their champion (who hasn’t been around in weeks due to his injury) an afterthought in his return, IMO.

I am not in disagreement there, as he didn’t get a lot of time I do wonder if he is medically cleared or if he’s about to be so they brought him back to talk. It felt like they lost time because something else went long, especially since the WarGames announcement happened on .Com instead of on the TV program.

Didn’t like that the North American Title storyline took a match and then an additional segment. Could have done the exact same stuff in much less time.

I love that with the big brawl at the end it wasn’t the Era just wiping the floor with McAfee and co. Too many times when there’s a return and a big fight the returning people just beat the crap of of the other guys.

The rest of the fight (and Regal coming out to say his favorite word Wargames) is on the social media channels. Undisputed Era stood tall in the ring and McAfee and Co was held back on the ramp. McAfees facials during post Wargames announcement was perfect. He looked worried but was still confident, as if he was saying stuff he didn’t believe.
