KB, you hit the nail on the head on that first segment and match; It was nothing they couldn’t have done on any other show. Aside from that, I’m beyond sick and tired of this whole “boring talk show sets up long, inconsequential match” trope. They rely on that whole crutch way too often, and then they wonder why ratings are down. I can’t imagine anyone that watched this show left with a feeling of “I can’t wait for next week.” Now that MNF Season is over and the Royal Rumble is right around the corner, they apparently think they can just put whatever on T.V. and viewers will return.

    Ric costing Charlotte a match.
    Orton threatening legends.
Goldberg being brought in for RR/WM.
Disney Channel level comedy from Miz and Morrison.
A bunch of “legends” brought in for no real reason.

Last night wasn’t a night of legends, it was a night of re-runs.

Thought something was amiss when we didn’t see Kurt Angle or Carlito who were advertised.

As far as Goldberg goes i don’t have much issue with him facing Drew provided it leads to Mcintyre retaining at the Royal Rumble which i would assume is the idea here. Great Match that Drew & Keith Lee had too. A Decent Show, i thought they used the Legends fine,i can promise if they had used them more it would have been from people saying oh they overshadowed the Current people.

This is an open board, asshole. When you say stupid shit constantly, this is what you can expect.

Bruce Prichard needs to go. It was the exact same thing when he was head of creative in Impact Wrestling; The first few months were actually exciting and newsworthy, then he seemed to run out of ideas and the show became boring, paint by numbers dreck. Now he is in charge of not only 1 show but 2?!? I don’t know what the answer is, but it’s not him. I actually turned the channel with nothing else on after hour 1 because I was so bored. It looks like I didn’t miss much. Not good.

  6. Jay H is a hack who probably liked this show says:

Wait til he comments on this show and you’ll see. What a frickin’ hack. Jay H, please take your stupidity elsewhere. It is not wanted here

    • Jay H says:

I’ll take my “stupidity” elsewhere when you do. Till then i’ll keep coming back here and throwing in my 2 cents. Get a life you loser.

  7. Detective Darby Del Vecchio says:

Please be on the look out for a guy who calls himself Jay H. The H of course stands for Hack. He will praise this show and try to make you think it was good. Do not be fooled by his lies and foolishness. If you see him in here, please ignore him. Thank you great citizens for doing your part.

I remember when WWE did the Fox Smackdown premiere and straight up told advertised legends to go home as they didn’t have anything for them. Stone Cold was one of them. STONE COLD.

I’m glad to see WWE brought back a ton of old guys, during a pandemic, to put over the young upstart Randy Orton. This didn’t help anyone.

Goldberg couldn’t have said something like holy shit you kick ass, I need to face you? At least that wouldn’t be as cookie cutter and stupid.

Advertising a bunch of legends, not fitting them all in and the show being all over the place. As someone with ADD, this is the exact type of show I would book. That’s not a good thing.

WWE is in a terrible place. Barely anything is redeeming. The matches are at least average to good but the stories surrounding them suck. It feels so bleak right now. It’s almost depressing because you know WWE can do way better. As someone who doesn’t like AEW (or even really watch it), at least they feel fresh. Things actually happen on AEW. They build things up and blow them off.

    • Jay H says:

So if they had the Legends do more you would be right back here saying they overshadowed the Current people. Instead this time it’s oh they should have done more with them. You can’t have it both ways.

Also since you said you don’t really watch AEW it’s kinda hard to assume they feel fresh. Can’t wait to hear what you’ll say when 61 year old Sting has Matches over there and he will, he has said as much.

      • Jay H Is A Moron says:

What a surprise; The WWE Apologist is making a bunch of lame excuses for another shitty show that is being widely panned.

      • Greg says:

Don’t put words in my mouth.

They shouldn’t overload a show with so many legends, they can’t do stuff with them (like seriously, why was Tatanka there). That was my point. False advertising isn’t good, especially with someone as big as Stone Cold.

They SHOULD do stuff with them. Hogan saying he’s a big fan of McIntyre. That was good. Maybe even have Hogan accompany him to a match, raise his hand. That would be a nice touch.

The stuff Orton did made sense for his character. However, the only two people the legends really put over were McIntyre and Orton. That doesn’t help anyone. No one else interacted with the legends in a positive way.

I hope Sting doesn’t have matches. I don’t understand signing him to a long term contract. I’m scared for his neck. I follow KB’s AEW reviews. I watch maybe 1 show a month if I feel like it. So I’m not clueless on what they are doing.
