After watching this Rumble recently, I gotta disagree with you here KB. A for the Rumble match is way too generous. The big name for most of the match is Rikishi, Almost nothing of note really happens until Rock comes in. Took way too long to get interesting. No one really showed off except for Rikishi before Rock. Lacked a lot of star power. The star power they did have was backloaded. Very dull for most of it.

    Ending was great though.

You have to remember that Rikishi was arguably the third biggest face in the company at that point. THere’s a famous 10 man tag in February with HHH/the recently debuted Radicalz vs. Rock/Cactus Jack/Too Cool/Rikishi. It might not be as great now, but he was a thing at the time.

Also the dancing spot is an all time cool Rumble moment.

Hmm, crap you’re right. Probably was looking at this too much through 2021 eyes instead of 2000.

The crowd did feel sort of dead until Rock though. Probably as a result of HHH/Cactus Jack though. That match was a war.

        Dancing spot was awesome.
