Zoey and Toni had a very solid match, and I like that Zoey got her major major win on a big stage. It sets her as a kind of “big stage performer” that could be used if the rumors of io moving up are true. She’s still fairly inexperienced, but ring time will help a lot, as well as camera time. Toni will be fine cause 1 loss isn’t the end of the world in NXT. Even though Ios beaten her, it’s still io freaking Shirai that she was beaten by.

Speaking of one loss not being the end of the world, Kushida will be fine with a loss, especially considering it was Pete freaking Dunne at takeover. It was a really good technical showcase, although I would have preferred more time to let it get really fun and brutal.

The gauntlet was really solid and let a lot of people shine. Knight showed some really good fire and prowess, Ruff has really found a way to be the underdog without it getting ridiculous, Grimes is so charismatic that his his in-ring talent is overshadowed sometimes, Lumis… Yeah I don’t want KBs head to explode… And Scott had a star maker tonight with 23 minutes and 2 eliminations.Reed is a great midcard monster and should have a great match with Johnny Takeover.

All I have to say about the UK Title match is my chest hurts! I was absolutely captivated by this one and I actually bought a couple of Ciampas nearfalls. Awesome fight and match/fight of the night!!

The three way tag was great and fun. Legado also had a star making performance and didn’t look like glorified lackeys. They actually looked like a polished team and that’s great for their future. GYV should be fine when Gibson touches a mic again, and I hope they get their day soon. I’ve been such a huge fan of MSK for a long time, as they had awesome talent and charisma, but were buried by impact and their booking.

The Women’s title was only behind the UK Title by a slight margin. Great match, but better story of Io literally throwing everything at Raquel but falling to the she-beast.

Overall awesome show, and night 2 should be incredible if the three matches I see being awesome live up to the hype.

Once again, WALTER has the match of the night (actually would’ve went higher for the grade on that one but all good).
He’s almost like Lesnar at Lesnar’s best, but somehow incapable of having bad matches so possibly better.
For my money, I don’t think there’s a better wrestler right now in the ring.
Good on Ciampa for shaving his head and going back to the tights as well.

Good 1st half of Stand & Deliver, it was nice seeing the CWC packed in and it will be nice to see actual human beings over the Weekend too for a change again. I agree on MSK and Impact missing the boat on them, happy they won the NXT Tag Titles. Raquel & Io was a very good Main Event, WALTER & Tommaso Ciampa destroyed each other. Bronson Reed winning the Gauntlet was a good move but i wouldn’t have minded Dexter Lumis either. Pete Dunne & KUSHIDA was a solid Opener as well.

Would you say Swerve had a signature moment for Swerve? I was actually hoping he’d pull it out, and he looked awesome throughout.

I’m not sure I can go that far. I need a win to make it feel like a signature most of the time. You can get there in a loss but this wasn’t it.
