Christian beating Kenny for one title but saying it would be harder to win the AEW title is pretty much the exact same story as when Rollins held the WWE/US title. Rollins taped out to lose the US title so he could be fresh enough to keep the more important title.

Christian will definitely not beat Omega for the AEW title. I also think it sort of cuts off what they were doing. But to be fair, who was even being built up to take the title? Also Christian feels very random.

Going on and on about how records matter and signing a guy after one win and being destroyed, doesn’t make much sense. I understand why though.

    KB,

What do you think was the purpose of Kenny holding the Impact belt if he was going to drop to an AEW player only. The major stories for Impact are happening in AEW and not in Impact. I love Christian, but I don’t think there was much buildup in him winning the Impact title and breaking Kenny’s belt collector character. Kenny might win it again and might develop the character but the dragon has already been slayed in my opinion.

If the same had happened in WWE, there would have been multiple reports by now how the feeling is the Impact title is being buried by WWE.

The Impact title might not be buried, but the Impact roster is. That’s been the problem for a long time now and this isn’t going to help things.

I haven’t been watching wrestling in ages and recently signed up to AEW on Fite since it’s cheap as chips for like $6 a month and Australia is going back into lockdown. I’ve been watching for 2 weeks and Britt Baker has been presented to me as the biggest superstar on the roster. I love that they track records as well. Fills my MMA loving heart with joy.
