What is this expand to see full article bs? Am I on AV Club?

Another show of the year contender, I’m not sure if this was better than Revolution or not but both are show of the year contenders and WWE’s only had Mania that’s been above average with that shit decision to keep belt on Roman.

Didn’t watch zero hour, MJF felt like he was carrying Tanahasi hard and this is the second time this week Tanashi botched trying to come off the top. Finish felt a little rushed, it was good as a starter.

Punk had HELLA heat and was hottest match all night next to omega/osperay. As you’ve pointed out Punk can do both face/heel great so its good stuff and it almost bit Punk in the ass playing heel as he took too long to do gts and almost lost.

“That being said, I’m not sure how many times the story has been “Cassidy is banged up and facing overwhelming odds” but he retains anyway. The point has long since been made and it’s time for someone to beat him for the title.”

Good point, I actually like Cassidy more than I used to as he uses psychology in his matches and does less stupid playing around crap but I agree. I’d give it to Swerve who deserves a push.

I missed Sanada/Jungle Boy as it was really short and I smoked and used the bathroom, came back and it was over. Jungle Boy turning heel is interesting, dude can’t even cut a promo and they did that whole long feud with Christian which cemented him as a face. IDK maybe it will work and he can finally cut good promos not being a face, hope that’s what happens because dude needs a personality bad.

BCC/Elite was good, much better than garbage match from don. When that guy who chopped Jericho’s chest bloody on that one dynamite double germaned bucks I yelled out loud but then they just no sold it and did superkick party. Eddie’s story with Moxley is still ongoing also Claudio should be interesting though it will probably be on ROH which I rarely watch.

Toni Willow felt like a breather match. I hate seeing Willow as she’s not hot and match was mediocre BUT Willow did do a cool moonsault off second rope.

Ospreay/Omega was perfect, so violent, felt perfectly paced and that… idk if it was botched or not but that death valley driver ospreay hit near the end looked sick. Crowd was very hot about 10 minutes in and I think this should’ve and would’ve main evented if Omega was going over but TK didn’t want to end show on a bummer. Otherwise this should’ve main evented because this was hottest match all night and Omega was hometown hero. Omega/Punk in Canada would be a HOT match and draw money.

six man tag was ok, it seemed Sammy botched twice on Sting though the table spot was sting’s fault for not moving fast enough. At least Sting isn’t still doing dumb crap like jumping off the barricades headfirst but he’s too old and needs to not let himself get seriously injured. Dude could die in the ring someday but whatever.

Main was great but crowd was dead until about halfway in, they were just burnt out. AEW needs to have breather matches, the 6 man could’ve been that but instead they decided to have crazy spots and a table bump so crowd was tired. Bryan is a ridiculous badass for finishing match with a broken collar bone. Great match and I loved hearing Final Countdown back. Too bad he’s gonna be out for 6-8 months but again a total badass and best wrestler alive today.

Another great AEW show and a rebound from the trash that was DON. The weeklies have been good too so I hope they keep up good show streak.
