Looking at his comments on Cena I’m not sure I’d say X Pac heat more like actual heat but at the same time I think Cena turned off a lot of people from the product who watched through attitude and ruthless. It feels very much like a worse wigger version of The Rock but the crowd just doesn’t like him for the most part other than women and kids. I think Cena worked better in like 03-05 because he was on SD and had better matches and his rapping stuff was entertaining. It felt like once he got moved to Raw his wrestling somehow got shittier than he was just a year before, idk if Cena got lazy or if Vince wanted to book him like Hulk Hogan doing his comeback so he had him have like moves or do any technical wrestling but watching Cena matches from like 05-13 are kind of a chore because he simply can not or will not actually wrestle and his opponents always have to carry him until five moves of doom/finisher fest at end. I don’t love the rock but he was a much better, in general and technically better wrestler than Cena. Rock/Trip ironman is something Cena wouldn’t have been able to do and its obvious that his Orton/Cena ironman is way shitter than that one. Rock could also keep up with Jericho, Benoit, Eddie, etc but Cena just gets thrown around and sells a lot, maybe a chinlock than five moves of doom with differing offense or technical wrestling. I want to say Batistia got lazy too but his matches usually have more actual wrestling in than them than Cena’s. I mean can you can even point out Cena match with good psychology?

You know he’s never gonna tap, the best I can think of is Jericho/Cena at summerslam 05 where Cena felt more vulnerable and Jericho worked over his back and the matches with Angle but other than that I can’t think of a good psychology based matches involving working over a body part with him. Even when he started busting his ass as us champ in like 2015/16 while he was having great matches psychology doesn’t really come into play for him.

At the same time with Cena, like obviously him being forced down older fans throats who thought he sucked along with WWE going pg in 08 caused a lot of fans to tune out probably also related to wrestling having a bad rap because of Benoit but Cena also brought in a lot of younger fans who became lifelong fans so its a bit of a mixed bag. I really wouldn’t have a problem with Cena if he just would wrestle well but his wrestling is trash and he always needs to be carried because he knows about as many moves as Nash.

I thought this was a pretty solid show but I feel like you rated that main event too high, it’s your opinion not gonna try and change it but I’d give it something like a B- or B
