I enjoy reading your reviews on AEW. I’m not a watcher but I do enjoy viewing highlights/clips. One thing seems kinda off to me, and it just might be some mental mixup…but since winning the title, does Swerve seems like a bit of an afterthought or side story when he’s their World Champion/first Black AEW World Champ? I’m not saying he should be opening or closing every show, but it just feels like he’s playing second fiddle to yet another Elite story.

That is absolutely how it feels yeah. The Elite story is by far the biggest story in AEW and that’s a bit annoying when Swerve winning the title was a very nice moment.

Yeah. Like, the Bloodline also dominated WWE for a few years, but they at least had some nice stories with Sami, KO, Jey’s disobedience, and eventually Cody finishing the story. They’re still going on with Solo and the Tongas, and Rock and Roman’s eventual fallout, but they’re not a centerpiece anymore, and they’re building up new stars. The Elite…it’s literally just the Matthew and Nicholas (no fines for me!) show, with special guests Okada and Jack Perry. Granted this could build up Perry for more in the future, but I almost want to just skip over any Elite recap.
