I don’t normally expect (or even want in most cases) complex stories from wrestling, I like the simple good guys vs bad guys dynamic, but I am really enjoying the Seth Rollins story right now because he is a heel that really believes he is doing the right thing. He is not a psychopath or just a cheater, he hates Punk and Reigns (and there is a story there and valid reasons) and he is trying to protect the bussines and the company from them. Cena is an amazing talker but he did a complete 180 from this great hero to a despicable asshole to the point that its not believable (I think there is a great story there that can be told about his insecurities, his retirement, his anger with the fans that rejected him, maybe he feels Cody is replacing him, but it has not been explored yet in depth after his turn, I hope they get to it). Also The Rock and Travis Scott really didn’t work for me. Basically I’m just really enjoying Seth as a heel right now because he is believable, and that makes a world of difference.

That’s wrestling heeldom in a nutshell: they don’t have to be right. They just have to believe they’re right. It’s working very well.

I loved Rusevs dig at AEW describing it as being trapped in the abyss. How apropous!
